Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Director of Coaching position is responsible for growing the influence of FCA in Atlanta’s Urban Soccer League through two key objectives. Offering professional guidance and support to the volunteer coaches, developing a referee & assistant coach-­‐training program that each site director can help implement in their respective neighborhood. The DOC should model the FCA Values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence with coaches, athletes, donors and other staff. The position is part-­‐time (20 hours a week). MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •
Observe, Encourage and Support the Coaches o Design a coaches evaluation/feedback process that ensures a high quality of coaching for the players in the league o Visit their practices o Help coaches to develop and follow a season plan for their team •
Act as the liaison between Georgia Soccer and FCA o Make volunteers aware of the tools offered through the affiliation o Arrange Coaching Clinics for the League once or twice a year Work with League Director & Assistant to make edits on the previous years Coaches Manual •

Play an active role in developing a Assistant Coaching Job for teens •
