sustainable wild-catch fishery.
All MSC-labelled seafood comes from fisheries that have
been independently certified as meeting the rigorous
MSC environmental standard for sustainable fishing and is
fully traceable.
What is the MSC ecolabel?
The MSC ecolabel is the most trusted and recognised
indicator of seafood sustainability.
MSC-labelled seafood can be traced right back to the MSC
certified sustainable fishery where it was caught. Whenever
seafood is sold with the MSC ecolabel, every business in
the supply chain must meet the MSC standard for seafood
traceability and have a current MSC Chain of Custody
certificate to prove this.
The MSC organisation works with fisheries, seafood
companies, wholesalers, scientists, conservation groups and the
public to promote the best environmental choice in seafood.

We have been supplying Frozen at Sea fish for
almost forty years and we now stock many of
the best brands on the market, including Royal
Greenland, Fisk, Atlantika, Enniberg and Ramoen
with fish coming from the Faroes, Greenland,
Norwegian, Russian and Icelandic waters.

The Arctic Oceans are cold, clean and clear, which enables the
Cod and Haddock we catch to be safe and pure of quality. All
fish are filleted within four hours of being caught before boxing,
as this is the best way to retain their full flavour. Other than
fish caught on a day boat and landed locally, Frozen at Sea fish
is the freshest there is and it’s a fact that our customers have
acknowledged for many years.

IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) fish fillets are
all processed and frozen within hours of catch.
Each fillet is individually inspected for quality
and consistency and then carefully sized.
Why Buy IQF Fish?

How they are produced
Individual Quick Frozen products are produced by placing in
liquid nitrogen at very low temperatures whilst in the process
of being frozen. The technique prevents the fish sticking
together and will produce a 100% Individually Quick Frozen
product throughout the process giving you:
• Consistency
• Flexibility
• Convenience
• Little to no preparation time
• Easy to defrost product
IQF fish fillets are protected with a water glaze just before
being frozen. The frozen water acts as a barrier to keep the
product from drying out in the freezer (freezer burn), and
all long lasting quality frozen products should have glazing
for protection. The amount of glaze applied depends on the
glazing time, fish temperature, water temperature, product
size and product shape
Industry standard is usually 20% but some IQF fillets can be
found with as much as 45%! Put simply, the higher the glaze
percentage, the higher the water content and in turn less fish
you will be buying. Our Emerald Sea Cod and Haddock
products have just 15% glaze.
