the first time in 42 years.
WBO lightweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford
will face former Olympic
gold medalist and unified

the CenturyLink Center.
Crawford’s co-manager,
Shawn Marion and Dallas force a winnertake-all game in their irst-round NBA
playoff series with Kawhi Leonard and San
Antonio after the Mavs’ 113-111 win. The
deciding game between the top-seeded
Spurs and eighth-seeded Mavs is Sunday in
San Antonio. Story, Page 9C

that a press conference

Runs figured to be at a premium in
Friday’s matchup between Creighton
and Seton Hall.
The Bluejays’ Matt Warren and the
Pirates’ Josh Prevost were a combined
18-1 on the season, and each entered the
Big East contest with an ERA below two.
The runs turned out to be not quite
as scarce for Seton Hall. The Pirates
scored five times in the seventh for a
come-from-behind 8-2 win in front of
3,966 at TD Ameritrade Park.
Prevost turned in a three-hitter to
improve to 10-1.
It was the first loss of the season for
Warren (9-1).
Creighton struggled offensively
through five innings. Prevost retired the
Bluejays in order four times and allowed
one hit, needing 44 pitches to get to the

hey’ve been the faces of their programs for four years. • Nebraska’s Tatum Edwards,
UNO’s Dana Elsasser and Creighton’s Becca Changstrom make up a senior pitching class
that will leave its mark at their schools. • “The irst person any coach would think of is
Dana if you are playing Omaha or Changstrom if you’re playing Creighton,” NU coach Rhonda
Revelle said. “They have been key, key impact players in their programs. Without either of them,
you’d see a different season.” • Edwards, meanwhile, has excelled as a pitcher, hitter and
outielder for the Huskers. • “You are not just graduating one player. Sometimes she does the
work of three players,” Creighton coach Brent Vigness said. “She’s been a handful for us, and I
have a lot of respect for her.” • Creighton and Nebraska will recognize their seniors as they close

won the Derby in 2002 with

“He’s so light on his feet,”
Espinoza said. “He just does

California Chrome’s owners, Steve Coburn and Perry
Martin, are no Kentucky blue

working stiffs who live near
Reno, Nevada.
“We’re going to go down in
history,” Coburn predicted.
