When a family is hungry, tired and has no place to go, it is hard for them to help themselves. For more than 35 years, Christian
Community Action (CCA) has been working to stabilize and transform families in need of support. While crisis intervention is often the first step towards healthy change, CCA focuses on identifying and partnering with individuals and families for lasting change.
Through feeding, sheltering, health services, education and training, families in need within 42 communities and 10 key school districts throughout Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties know that CCA represents a “hand-up” and not just a “hand-out.
With an annual operating expense budget of nearly $12M, CCA is a unique assistance organization because of the dynamic variety of services it offers. No other organization in the DFW Metroplex manages the integrated scope of services that CCA has available. CCA is also on the leading-edge of non-profit operating models, partly because it is supported financially by a vibrant and sustainable directto-consumer and business-to-business reselling enterprise.
Each year CCA assists more than 12,000 individuals through a staff of 150 and a volunteer team of 2500 local community heroes.
Together they help CCA distribute more than $1.4 million of food and provide more than 4,000 low-income patients health clinic services each year. In addition, more than 1,660 people receive educational and vocational training through CCA programs on an annual basis. CCA also provides more than 57,000 lunches to kids during the summers away from school and provides 2,900 children with Christmas toys each holiday season. With the support of volunteers, families, churches and local businesses, CCA is truly making a difference in their community and “Bringing Hope!”
"In the spirit of Jesus Christ, Christian Community Action ministers to the poor by providing comprehensive services that alleviate suffering, bring hope and change lives."

Christian Community Action offers
Family Assistance, a program designed to fulfill the immediate and crucial needs of families during crisis. This includes the loss of a job, an illness, fire or another situation that limits the family's access to food, clothing, shelter or the ability to pay their bills. CCA provides financial and emotional support to families in situations such as these.
Established in 1999 to address the need in their area for affordable health care for the un- and underinsured, the Adult

CCA offers 28 rentable units on a sliding scale fee for community residents. They also offer home restoration assistance to families who own their own homes but cannot afford the upkeep required.

Hope Learning Center, CCA provides loving, high quality, Christian childcare based on a sliding scale fee until the family is able to segue into Child Care
Services of Texas.
