T ERMS AND C ONDITIONS
Promotion & Promoter
1.
The Promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd., registered at Woodhatch, Reigate, RH2 8BF (hereinafter
referred to as “Canon”).
2.
The 3 Year Extended Warranty extends the one-year Canon commercial warranty - European
Warranty System (EWS) by two years for the selected Canon Products.
3.
All the EWS terms, shall apply to the Extended Warranty service provided under this Promotion
and integrated into these Terms and Conditions by reference. In case of the EWS Terms
contradicting these 3 Year Extended Warranty Promotion Terms, these 3 Year Extended
Warranty Promotion Terms shall apply.
Participants
4. All Participants must be aged 18 or over.
Promotional Period
The Promotional Products must be purchased between 1st November 2014 and 30th April 2015.
The date of product purchase must be confirmed by the proof of purchase.
Promotional Territory
5.
The Promotional Products must be purchased in the territory of the United Kingdom (UK) and
Republic of Ireland (ROI). Internet stores must have a “.co.uk” or “ie” web address and/or
display a registered/postal address in the UK or ROI.

All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products and must have been
supplied and distributed to retailers by Canon UK Ltd (“Canon”) or Canon group companies
located in the European Economic Area or Switzerland (EEA). Please, check with your retailer
that this is the case to avoid disappointment. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or
reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property
rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (including but not limited to parallel or
“grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. To learn more about parallel products

8.
Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk purchases (being more than 10 Promotional
Products during the Promotional Period) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
9.
This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Canon promotion(s) for the same
products.
How to claim the EWS extension
10. To redeem and claim the 3 Year Extended Warranty, submit your claim by fully and correctly
completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) a claim form online here by
31st May 2015 to validate the extended warranty. All the claims received outside of this period
will not be accepted by Canon. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online
claim form a copy of their till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases.
11. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been registered. If you do
not receive a confirmation email within 8 working days of processing your claim, or do not have
access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline on 0800 044 3251. A copy of your
invoice MUST be submitted as proof of purchase. Proof of dispatch will not be accepted as a
sufficient proof of purchase.
How to claim the Extended Warranty Service
12. To obtain the Extended Warranty Service, please contact the Canon Support Helpdesk on +44
(0) 20 7660 0186 ** and be ready to:

Provide the full device/printer model name and serial number***;
Confirm the Operating system installed on your computer – if applicable ;
Confirm your contact details, address of the device/printer and your E-mail address;
Provide proof of product purchase & activated extended warranty, as per the CUK&I
Extended Warranty Certificate sent to you following online warranty registration(s);
Provide a clear fault description and carry out any diagnostics as advised;
Comply with any reasonable instructions from the Helpdesk to allow you to receive the
warranty service.

Disclaimers
13. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of
any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However,
nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for
personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
14. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and
conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves
the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused
in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence
will be entered into.
15. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for
the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
Personal Data Protection
16. Canon Europa N.V. registered at Bovenkerkerweg 59, 1185 XB, Amstelveen, the Netherlands
and Canon (UK) Ltd. are the Data Controllers for the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998
(“DPA”) in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted
to us will be processed by Interpay Sales Promotions, IDA Business & Technology Park, Ring
Road, Kilkenny, Ireland for the purpose of administering this Promotion and, if applicable, for
marketing purposes – in cases when Participants have opted-in to receive marketing
communication from Canon.
17. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to
enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check
the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.
Law and Jurisdiction
18. These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be
governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the
non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
