1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PARTICIPATING RETAILERS,
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any
of the products listed below (the “Promotional Products”)
within the United Kingdom (“UK”) or Republic of Ireland (“ROI”)
from one of the retailers listed below (“Participating Retailers”)
between Wednesday 14th October 2015 and Wednesday 13th
January 2016 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). All other
products and retailers are excluded. Promotional Products can
be sold as a camera body only or part of a lens kit or bundle
but only ONE claim can be made per kit or bundle. So if a kit
includes two Promotional Products, the Participant will need to
pick one product against which to make a claim. Purchases must
be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent.
1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be
resident in UK and ROI (“Participant”).
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by
these terms and conditions.
1.4. All Promotional Products must be new. Purchases of second
hand, refurbished or reconditioned products will not qualify
under this promotion.
2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1. To enter the cashback promotion, the Participant must
purchase a Promotional Product from a Participating Retailer
during the Promotional Period AND submit a valid claim online.
2.2.The closing date to claim cashback is midnight on Saturday
14th February 2016.
2.3.When claiming cashback you can also select to have your
details entered into the Prize Draw. The closing date for entry
into the Prize Draw is Wednesday 13th January 2016.
2.4.Claims for the cashback and Prize Draw must be submitted
by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid
EEA product serial number) a claim form online, at www.canon.
co.uk/Wintercashback. Participants will need to scan, upload
and attach to the online claim form a copy of their till receipt, or
order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then
receive an email confirming that their claim has been received.
If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of
processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer,
please contact our Claim Hotline on 0800 044 3251.
2.5.The Promotional Products are subject to availability while
stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers
to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional
Period.
2.6.Canon will not process any cashback claims received after
the closing date for receipt of claims of midnight on Saturday
14th February 2016. Canon will not process claims which are in
its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible
for claims delayed or not successfully received.
2.7. Only one cashback claim and Prize Draw Entry per
Promotional Product purchased may be made.
2.8.Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk
purchases (being more than 10 Promotional Products during the
Promotional Period, other than where the relevant products are
comprised in kits or bundles as described in clause 1.1) will not
be eligible to enter this Promotion.
2.9.This promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any
other promotion.
3.CASHBACK
3.1. Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown for
purchases of Promotional Products.
3.2.Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange
for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank
account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no
cash or cheque will be provided.
3.3.Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 28 days of
receipt of a complete and valid claim.
3.4.Where a Participant fails to select one of the currencies
offered on the claim form, one may be allocated at Canon’s
absolute discretion.
3.5.Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.
3.6.If you are UK VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it
may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may
need to reduce your input tax accordingly.
4. PRIZE DRAW
4.1. The prizes are 3 x trips for two to stunning St Moritz,
Switzerland including the possibility of watching (weather and
lake conditions permitting) the epic sport of skijoring.
4.2.Enjoy an exclusive three-night break in the premium ski
resort of St Moritz, staying at the beautiful 5 star Kempinski
Grand Hotel Des Bains, in the heart of the resort (sharing a
double or twin room). Flight, private airport transfers, meals
(breakfast and dinner plus daily lunch allowance) and travel
insurance (which does not cover pre-existing medical conditions)
are covered and a total of £500 spending money. Plus enjoy
grandstand tickets to the awe-inspiring White Turf 2016 on 14th
February 2016 – to see the breath-taking sport of skijoring.

4.3.The departure date is Friday 12th February 2016.
4.4.Entries received after Wednesday 13th January 2016 will not
be eligible to be entered into the Free Prize Draw which will take
place on Friday 15th January 2016.
4.5.Using a random number generator, 3 winners will be
randomly selected from all valid entries received within the
Promotional Period.
4.6.The winners’ contact details will then be handed to a 3rd
party agent that Canon has enlisted to arrange the winners’
experiences. The 3rd party will use either telephone number or
e-mail to contact the Winner. All arrangements will be managed
between the winner and the 3rd party. Passports and visas are
the responsibility and at the cost of the prize winner.

4.7.The Prize is non-transferable and no cash or credit
alternatives will be substituted for the prize on offer. In the
event that the prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances
beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an
alternative prize of equal or greater value.
4.8.If Canon is unable to contact the winner within 7 days of the
draw date, the winner will forfeit their prize.
4.9.The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute
and sole discretion of Canon.
4.10. The Prize is as stated when published.
4.11.The Prize is provided to the winners of the Winter Cashback
2015 free prize draw in good faith by the promoter. If a winner
is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, the Promoter must
be notified as soon as possible so that it may be awarded to
another Participant.
4.12. Residents of Northern Ireland do not have to purchase a
product to be entered into the Prize Draw.
5. THE PROMOTER
5.1. The promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate,
Surrey, RH2 8BF.
6.DISCLAIMERS
6.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be
liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever
caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion.
However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding
or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused
by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
6.2.Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this
promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.
6.3.Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure
compliance with these terms and conditions and to request
additional information and supporting documents. Canon
reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if
it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way.
Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
7.DATA
7.1. Canon (UK) Ltd. is the Data Controller for the purpose of the
Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) in respect of any personal data
supplied by Participants. Any personal information supplied by
entrants will be used and processed by Canon (UK) Limited, its
agents or associated group companies solely for the purpose of
administering the promotion, and for marketing purposes where
Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communications
from Canon.
If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be
used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact
them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT
check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.
7.2.The personal data provided is held securely and may be
transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.
7.3.Canon reserves the right to publish the name and town of
the winner or to publicise any prize giving presentation after
the date of the free prize draw. If the winner does not wish such
details to be published, they must advise Canon (UK) Ltd at time
of being notified that they have won.
8. LAW AND JURISDICTION
8.1. These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of
or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed
in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the
non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
