Mathematical Optimization quantifies complex management
problems in business and government using mathematical models.
Optimal solutions can then be identified by applying sophisticated
computing techniques to these models. Graduates trained in such
sophisticated mathematical methods in business are in high demand.
MO starts in second year. Students who wish to enroll in MO should
apply for first-year entry to our Math/Bus program. All students

Admission decisions are
based on:
» Your high school grade average. Unless there
are extenuating circumstances (reported on
your Admission Information Form), one mark
will be taken off your admission average
for each course repeated or taken through
summer or night school.
» The Admission Information Form (AIF),
is to be submitted after applying through
OUAC. The AIF includes questions about your
extracurricular activities and work experience.
Students who fail to submit a completed
AIF will not be considered for admission.
Information about the AIF will be sent with
the acknowledgement of your application.
» While the Euclid Mathematics Contest is not
required for admission, your participation in the
contest is strongly encouraged, and is an asset
to your application. The contest is required for
Entrance Scholarship consideration. It will be
written in your high school on April 15, 2015.
