Hosted by FM 94/9 DJ Tim Pyles, the concert will feature Endoxi, a 2011 San Diego Music Award nominee for Best Alternative Artist; as well as Maren Parusel, the 2011 San Diego Music Award winner for Best Pop Album and Miss Erika Davies, a 2011 San Diego Music Award nominee for Best Jazz Album. Guest will also enjoy a complimentary Happy Hour from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, featuring craft brews from Stone Brewing Co. “La Jolla Playhouse is thrilled to partner with SoundDiego to present their October 27 concert,” said Playhouse Managing Director Michael S. Winner of the Best Pop Album at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards, Maren Parusel’s latest CD, “Artificial Gardens,” is an expression of her work making music and touring, playing 28 shows in just over 30 days this past summer. Her first full length record on Requiemme Records includes 11 new songs crafted from her life growing up in Germany and contrasted with her experiences over the past five years in sunny California. Parusel and her band – Kyle McGee on bass and vocals, Eric Brozgold on drums and Ariel Levine on guitar – live to play music.
