I-81 to exit 137, exit right; you will be on Rt. 619
(Wildwood Rd) and go ½ mile to traffic light.

Right at traffic light onto Rt. 11 South (460W &
West Main) and go ¾ mile.

I agree in consideration for my participation in the Competition (Perfect Strides Horse Show) to the following:
I AGREE that I chose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse as a rider, trainer, handler, owner,
agent, lessee, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and
the competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss and serious bodily injury including broken bones,
head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering or death (“Harm”).
I AGREE to release Green Hill Park Equestrian Center, Roanoke County Parks and Rec, and Perfect Strides from all claims
for money damages or otherwise for any harm to me or my horse, and for any harm caused by me or my horse to others,
even if the harm resulted directly or indirectly from the negligence of the Green Hill Park Equestrian Center, Roanoke
County Parks and Rec, or Perfect Strides Horse Shows.
I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of
Green Hill Equestrian Center, Roanoke County Parks and Rec and Perfect Strides.
I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages or costs incurred by) Green Hill Park Equestrian Center,
Roanoke County Parks and Rec or Perfect Strides, and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my
horse and for claims made by others for any harm caused by me or my horse at the Competition.
I CONSENT to receive any and all emergency medial treatment as may be deemed appropriate under the existing
circumstances by the Competition or its agents.
If I am a Parent or Guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child’s participation and AGREE to all of the
above provisions, and AGREE to assume all of the obligations on the child’s behalf.
I AGREE that Green Hill Park Equestrian Center, Roanoke County Parks and Rec, and Perfect Strides Horse Shows as
used above includes all of their officials, officers, directors, owners, employees, and personnel. I represent that I have the

Hunter & Equitation Classes
Baby Green Hunter: Open to horses or ponies in their first year of showing. Open to
juniors, amateurs and professionals. Judged as a performance class. Fences 2’.
Hopeful Hunter: Open to horses and ponies in their first or second year of showing. Open to
juniors, amateurs and professionals. Judged as a performance class. Fences 2’3.
Schooling Hunter: Open to all horses and riders. Judged as a performance class. Fences
2’6.
Special Children’s Hunter: Open to horses and ponies shown by juniors. Horse and rider
combination may not compete over fences higher than 2’9 at the same show. Fences 2’6 or
2’9.
Special Adult Hunter: Open to horses and ponies shown by adult amateurs. Horse and
rider combination may not compete over fences higher than 2’9 at the same show. Fences
2’6 or 2’9.
Children’s Hunter Pony: Open to junior riders mounted on ponies. Small ponies (12.2
hands & under) jump 2’, medium ponies (12.3 – 13.2 hands) jump 2’3, and large ponies (13.3
– 14.2 hands) jump 2’6.
Children’s Hunter: Open to horses ridden by a junior rider. Judged on performance,
manners, and way of going. Fences 3’.
Adult Hunter: Open to horses ridden by an amateur adult. Judged on performance,
manners, and way of going. Fences 3’.
Youth English Pleasure Division: Youth is a rider 17 years and younger as of January 1.
Judged as a performance class. Consists of four classes.
Adult English Pleasure Division: Adult is a rider 18 years and older as of January 1.
Judged as a performance class. Consists of four classes.
Beginner Hunter Rider Division: To be judged as an equitation Class. Intended for riders of
any age beginning their show experience. Riders may not show in any other over fences class
at the same show (Except Hunter Hack). A Beginner Hunter Rider is one that is starting their
show career. If a rider moves up from beginner level before the one-year expiration, he/she
cannot return to beginner status
Pleasure Hunter: Open to all horses and ponies. Judged on performance, manners, and
way of going. Fences 2’.
Beginner Equitation: Open to junior and amateur riders in their first or second year of
showing. Fences 2’, no oxers. Riders may not enter divisions with fence height exceeding 2’.
To be judged on rider’s position and control.
Intermediate Hunter: Open to anyone in their first or second year of showing on horses or
ponies. To be judged on performance, manners, and way of going. The rider may not jump
higher than 2’6 at the same show.

Baby Green Jumper I: Fences 2’ to 2’3"— Open to horses or ponies in their first or second year of

****Entry Fee for all Jumper classes $11.00****
**Payout for $100.00 classes: $26.00, 20.00, 18.00, 14.00, 12.00, 10.00; In order for money to be paid
out there must be at least 6 entries per class.
**Table II Section 2B: First round will be timed. If no jumping or time faults occur then rider goes on to
jump off round. After first round if the rider is clear there will be a buzzer to let the rider know to
continue with the jump off round.
**Table II Section 2C: This is a power and speed class. It is one course where if you are clear over the
power section then you move directly onto the speed portion of the course.
Hunter Classics:
Hunter Hack: Open to all horses and ponies. Judged over two fences and on the flat. Fences 2’.
Handy Hunter: Open to all horses and ponies. Entries will be judged over a hunter style course
consisting of up to 10 jumping elements. Riders may choose to jump 2’3, 2’6, or 2’9.
Hunt Pairs Under Saddle- A horse and or pony combination riding side by side to be judged at a walk,
trot and canter. Will be judged on manners, suitability and way of going.
Hunt Pairs: A pair will consist of two horse/pony and rider combinations. Shown over a hunter type
course, one following the other at a safe hunting distance. Judged on performance, manners, and way
of going. Pairs will receive bonus points for costumes. Pairs can choose to jump 2’3, 2’6, or 2’9.
Children’s Hunter Pony Classic: Open to those who competed in the Children’s Hunter Pony division.
2’6 Hunter Classic: Open to all horses and ponies who competed in a 2’6 hunter division.
3’ Hunter Classic: Open to all horses and ponies who competed in a 3’ hunter division.
****Entry Fee for all Classics $10.00****
**Classics are to be judged on performance and soundness with manners emphasized. To be scored under the open
numerical judging system. A designated class of the division will count as the first round of the classic, with the top
twelve scores returning to jump a second course. The second round competitors will return in order of lowest score to
highest. In case of ties, order of those tied will be drawn. Scores will be averaged from both rounds to determine the
winners. In case of ties, the second round will serve as tie breaker.
