Cell Culture
The QIAamp DNA Blood Mini Kit was used to process 200 µl of pig blood with
the provided columns or Zymo-Spin IIC columns from Zymo Research. A)
Equivalent volumes were used for DNA elution. Similar or higher yields are
obtained with the Zymo columns. B) Equal volumes of eluate were loaded into
a 0.8% TAE/EtBr/agarose gel. M is a 1 kb marker.
The QIAamp DNA Mini Kit was used for DNA extraction from 105 human cells
with the provided columns or Zymo-Spin IIC columns from Zymo. A) Equivalent
volumes were used for DNA elution. Similar yields are recovered using the
Zymo columns. B) Equal volumes of eluate were loaded into a 0.8% TAE/EtBr/
agarose gel. M is a 1 kb marker.

