Abstract:
Are you interested to know what happens behind the scenes
when you submit a paper to your favorite journal? Are you
considering a career in science publishing?
If so, then please come listen to me, Senior Scientific Editor
Cyrus Martin, relate my experiences as an editor at Current
Biology, part of the Cell Press group.
I will discuss the specifics of how we handle manuscripts and
what other duties the job entails, as well as broader issues,
such as the purpose of a general biology journal and what we
see as our long term mission. At the end, the lecture is open for
any questions.
