Services for Job Seekers
About the Director
The program offers a variety of tailoredto-the-individual services including:
Eleanor Nelson, Coach on Call, believes
that effective coaches are not in the game;
they assess talent, consider the challenges,
develop the winning plays, and set the
necessary goals to win. She currently
manages the Job Match Re-Employment
Project, which serves individuals in mid- to
upper-level management who have become
unemployed in the last 6-12 months. With
over three decades of direct experience in
the employment marketplace, and as a
business owner, Eleanor has the requisite
experience
to
explore
innovative
approaches to support sustained excellence
in each client, both individuals and
organizations. Residing now in Chesapeake
Beach, Maryland. Eleanor serves as the
President of the Arts Council of Calvert
County Board of Directors, as mediator for
the Calvert County Circuit Court, and as a
member of the Chesapeake Beach
Planning & Zoning Commission.

About Us...
The Tri-County Council for Southern
Maryland opened the Job Match ReEmployment Office in September 2009
and has been extended to July 2013.
The mission of the program is to assist
mid- to upper-level wage earners affected
by a lay-off in “finding the right fit” for their
next career move. The Job Match ReEmployment Project does this by tailoring
individual
services
and
providing
opportunities that aid in career transitions.

While unemployment can be challenging, it
also can present the perfect opportunity for
personal reinvention and to discover the
tools that can enable those who are in a
job transition process to “be all you can
be.”
A. You reside in Charles, Calvert, or
St. Mary’s county.
(Suggested documents: driver’s
license, utility bill, etc.)
B. You were laid off from an employer
in the past 12 months. (Suggested
documents: letter from employer,
contract, etc.)
The Job-Match Re-Employment Project
has the tools that will help you develop
insights into personal work styles to be
used as a springboard to a successful hire.
C. You earned $38,000 or more from
your last employer.
(Suggested documents: pay stub,
contract, W2, etc.)
Each time a Job Match participant reenters the workforce, he or she becomes
a success story. The end goal is that
each success story is a “good fit”. After
thirty-three months of the Project, over 200
people had found good fits. This means
that more than 200 families in the TriCounty area have ended unemployment
benefits and resumed a lifelong role as
tax-paying citizens.
3. Log on and enroll as a “jobseeker” at
the Maryland Workforce Exchange at:
https://mwejobs.maryland.gov/ and follow
the steps as directed. Once you are
logged on, this is a great site to search for
jobs.
