Sales Rating My best car buying experience to date! Written by ontimejohn on 01/17/14 08:18:50 AM PST Recommend this dealer? Yes Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? Yes From my initial contact via email, to signing my paperwork before getting my car, this was my best car buying experience to date. Ray A. is the Internet/Fleet Manager. I would highly recommend him if you are looking to buy a car from this dealer. Ray has a great personality and made my experience very enjoyable. I kept waiting for him to change things up, try to add in a bunch of bogus costs and fees, make excuses and try to bait and switch me on the car, etc. None of this ever happened. I kept thinking that this was too good to be true! My next thought was that I would get the pressure from the finance department. After dealing with the finance manager, Ted C., I couldn't have been more wrong. Ted was professional and has an awesome personality. While he did strongly suggest many options that made sense, such as Lo-Jack, extended warranty, etc., he didn't make me feel uncomfortable at any time throughout the process. I have seen other reviews on this site that are negative. Most of them seem to be from people that have no idea how the process works, or that have really bad credit and have expectations far beyond what they qualify for. Do your homework. Know what the dealer cost is on a new vehicle. Buying a used car? Certified pre-owned? Check at least a half dozen dealers and get internet quotes. Ask for the out the door price. When you go in, and the out the door price matches what the paperwork says, you're done. Summary: You want to buy a Toyota or Scion? Talk to Ray A. and request Ted C. when you get to the financing part. I could not be more pleased with them both. Sales Rating Excellent customer service Written by GelDavid on 12/27/13 10:13:20 AM PST Recommend this dealer? Yes Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? Yes Ray A was excellent to work with. He was very helpful, gave me all the information I needed; honored the quote he gave me over email; discussed other options with me but never pushed. I was in and out of the dealership in about 2 hours. Sales Rating Buyer beware!! Written by czarpac1 on 10/22/13 09:00:53 PM PDT Recommend this dealer? No Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? No Buyer be ware!!! It kills me to give one star! This is the worst dealer. If you decide to go to this dealer bc you found a great deal, be ready to get taken advantage of. Make sure you have a "trade-in" quote from CarMax so you don't have to haggle with the trade in. Make sure you have good credit! And be ready to fight! What this dealer does is takes extreme measure to any flaw in your car buying process/application and run with it until they wear you out. If you're not careful they will take advantage of you at your most desperate time. I had a flawless application for a used car. I had a quote from carmax for my trade in, my fico was excellent, $5K down and was paying full price for they're used Car. These [non-permissible content removed] managed to find some insignificant old flaw in my credit that they're were going to increase my interest rate over 15%. Any desperate person would've taken the deal. Make sure you have all you're info ready when you go to any dealer but don't waste your time with [non-permissible content removed]! Also, they all kept quoting "believe me, I'm trying to sell you a car more than you want to buy one"...once you hear that walk out from [non-permissible content removed], Ray, Max and Nick. Go to Cerritos Toyota. They'll take care if you. Sales Rating Good Written by lee146 on 09/27/13 11:13:00 PM PDT Recommend this dealer? Yes Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? Yes Feel very good about this dealership. Good service and I got a very good price of my new car. Sales Rating Disrespect and unwelcome Written by wubeone on 09/02/13 11:45:07 PM PDT Recommend this dealer? No Purchased a vehicle from this dealer? No If you want to feel being disrespected and unwelcome, come to Puente Hills Toyota. That's how we were treated. We wanted to buy a mini-van, and decided to go to Puente Hills Toyota to check out the Sienna. We walked around the front entry and the showroom. There were several sales standing around, but no one came to help us. So we asked the front desk ladies to get someone to show us Sienna. After a few minutes, a sales person, Sam C., came out. We told him we were interested in Sienna. He asked us what trim we want. We told him we didn't know, and that's the reason we're there to see the difference between the trims. Sam C. told us if we didn't know what we wanted, don’t expect them to show the car or test drive. They do not have time for you. He walked back to his office. We felt really disrespected and unwelcome. We asked for the manager and he got us a different sales person. The 2nd sales, Derek, was much more respectful and showed us the different trims and test drive. While waiting, we saw Sam C. just standing and wondering around. Toyota has a program called Toyota cares. I guess Sam C. at Puente Hills Toyota just cares if you buy from him. © Edmunds Inc. All rights reserved.
