Expectations
Everyone in this room has the right to feel comfortable and safe before, during, and after this class,
and have the proper learning environment to accomplish his/her goals.
To best meet these, the basic rules for this class are as follows:
1. All school rules apply (see agenda). Respect yourself, the teacher, each other, and your
surroundings.
2. Be prepared for class (have all materials, arrive on time, be prepared to work).
3. Come to class with a positive and inquisitive attitude towards learning.
Absences
When you are absent, a note must be brought on the date of your return unless your parents called in
to report your absence. With an excused absence, a missed test may be made up at a time scheduled
with the teacher. If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to catch up on all missed work
and complete all assignments.

Class Conduct
1) Come to class on time. Class begins when the bell rings. If lateness becomes a problem, be
prepared to explain your reason for being late to the administration and to your parents.
2) If you need to leave the classroom (not before the first ten or last ten minutes of the class) you
must ask permission, and then fill out my “Out of Class” Record sheet. Overuse may lead to loss of
permission to leave room.
3) Class does not end until you are dismissed. Do not get up and stand at the door. The class will
not be dismissed unless everyone is sitting at their desks.
4) At the end of each class push your chair in, or if it the last class of the day, put it up on your desk.
5) Hats are not to be worn in the classroom.
6) Use of cell phones or any electronic entertainment devices is prohibited in class.
Let’s work together and have a Great and Successful semester!
