To best meet these, the basic rules for this class are as follows: 1. All school rules apply (see agenda). Respect yourself, the teacher, each other, and your surroundings. 2. Be prepared for class (have all materials, arrive on time, be prepared to work). 3. Come to class with a positive and inquisitive attitude towards learning. Absences When you are absent, a note must be brought on the date of your return unless your parents called in to report your absence. With an excused absence, a missed test may be made up at a time scheduled with the teacher. If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to catch up on all missed work and complete all assignments. Mr. Tsui has a website that you can visit and browse. He posts his daily lesson notes, answer of the assignments and test review booklets on his website. This arrangement is meant to help the students to become independent learners when extra help is needed at home. Website address: WWW.mrtsui.com Tutorials Teacher help is available in Portable 1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch break or after school . Class Conduct 1) Come to class on time. Class begins when the bell rings. If lateness becomes a problem, be prepared to explain your reason for being late to the administration and to your parents. 2) If you need to leave the classroom (not before the first ten or last ten minutes of the class) you must ask permission, and then fill out my “Out of Class” Record sheet. Overuse may lead to loss of permission to leave room. 3) Class does not end until you are dismissed. Do not get up and stand at the door. The class will not be dismissed unless everyone is sitting at their desks. 4) At the end of each class push your chair in, or if it the last class of the day, put it up on your desk. 5) Hats are not to be worn in the classroom. 6) Use of cell phones or any electronic entertainment devices is prohibited in class.
