Submissions are reviewed anonymously by members of the editorial board and by readers in the appropriate fields. The editors invite submissions of scholarly essays, interviews, and archival documents. All manuscripts should be submitted electronically to: palimpsestjournal@vanderbilt.edu Manuscripts that are under review elsewhere or that have been previously published will not be considered by Palimpsest. We also do not accept unsolicited book, film, or video reviews. ESSAY PREPARATION All submissions must be typed in Times New Roman 12 font, double-spaced, and accompanied by a title page containing the author's name, postal address, phone number, and e-mail address. Scholarly articles should follow the latest version of the Chicago Manual of Style (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html). Manuscripts not following this style will not be accepted for publication. In order to facilitate the process of anonymous peer review, the author's name should not appear on the manuscript. All references in the essay and notes that might identify the author should be removed. Manuscripts should be no longer than 35 pages. An abstract of 150 words must accompany the submission. Submissions without abstracts will not be considered for review.
