FY’15 ACT & SAT DATES

DANTES ACT & SAT paper-based exams restricted to active duty/reserve military personnel only! ACT w/Essay exams
and SAT Subject exams available only at off-base civilian National testing sites. The National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) does not recognize DANTES/military ACT or SAT exams administered on base. Therefore, to be
accepted personnel interested in collegiate sports must test off base (fees apply) at civilian National testing sites. Rush
scoring does not exist. ACT scores available 3-4 weeks after administration. SAT test scores take up to 9-weeks from date
of exam. Students should allow adequate prep time for these difficult and lengthy tests.
Mandatory vendor recall suspends all ACT exams OCT – NOV and all SAT exams JUL – SEP. Students may take either an
ACT or SAT 1x free per their military career. Students taking more than one DANTES/military administration of the ACT or
SAT must contact the DANTES Testing Officer at 910.451.9289 concerning test fees, payments and restrictions. Due to
limited seating, RSVP required for all exams. The 5.5-hour SAT and 4-hour ACT exams begin promptly at 0730. Late
arrivals required to reschedule. Current military I.D. is mandatory.

Vendor restrictions and limited testing resources may result in some exams not readily available on base. Therefore, the following is a
listing of exams offered at various local testing sites. For questions, contact the Testing Office at 910.451.9289.
AFAST/SIFT (Alternate Flight Aptitude Screening Test): Administered at Ft. Bragg. Visit www.usarec.army.mil/hq/warrant/WOoveriw.html for information.
AFIADL (US Air Force Exams): Administered at the Civilian Workforce Learning Center (Bldg. 524), Camp Lejeune (910) 451-9175.
AFOQT (Air Force Officer’s Qualification Test): All testing arrangements made through USAF Recruiters at designated testing facilities only.
COMP TIA, A+, & MICRO SOFT: Military personnel call Camp Lejeune Communications Training Center/School House at 910.451.2878 for space availability.

GENERAL INFORMATION

NELNET SOLUTIONS – Practices exams available for eCLEP, eDSST, GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, PRAXIS, GED, EMT, ASVAB, RN,
CIVSVC, and OCS. See flier for additional exam information regarding website location and access.
eCLEP (ELECTRONIC COLLEGE LEVEL EXAM PROGRAM) – Series of 33 computer-based exams designed to assess student
knowledge in college level general education courses such as English, Math, History, and Science. Students earn up to 12 college
credits. These exams are the equivalent of one full semester of college classes condensed into 90-minute tests. Most score reports
issued immediately upon completion. Exams are pass/fail and will not affect student grade point average (GPA). Exams provide
students an option of testing out of general/elective classes. Most colleges accept eCLEP credits. See eCLEP flier for additional
information.
eDSST (ELECTRONIC DANTES STANDARDIZED SUBJECT TESTS) – Series of 39 computer-based exams designed to assess student
knowledge in college level subjects such as Social Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, and Business. Exams are worth 3
college credits. These exams are the equivalent of one full semester of college classes condensed into 90-minute tests. Most score
reports issued immediately upon completion. Exams are pass/fail and will not affect student grade point average (GPA). Exams
provide students the opportunity of testing out of general/elective courses. Not all colleges accept eDSST credits. Student must
check their school’s credit acceptance policies. See eDSST flier for additional information.
SAT (SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST) – Standardized 5.5-hour paper-based exam comprised of 10 sections measuring English/Verbal,
Mathematical, and Reading/Analytical skills. Score reports take up to 9-weeks from date of test administration. The National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) does not recognized SAT exams administered at DANTES/military testing sites. Sports program
applicants must test off base at National testing sites to be eligible for collegiate athletic programs. R.S.V.P. required for all testing.
ACT – A 4-hour paper-based achievement test comprised of 4 sections measuring English, Math, Reading, and Science skills.
Scores take up to 4-weeks from date of administration. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) does not recognize ACT
exams administered at DANTES/military testing sites. Sports program applicants must test off base at National testing sites to be
eligible for collegiate athletic programs. R.S.V.P. require for all testing.
PRAXIS (TEACHER CERTIFICATION) – Series of tests measuring knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects deemed necessary for
teacher education programs. State prerequisites/scores may apply. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement
for a CORE (partial or complete) and 1x for a PRAXIS II Subject per military career (while DANTES funding is available). Exams only
administered off base at National testing sites.
GRE (GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION) – Standardized exam assessing abstract thinking skills in Math, Vocabulary, and
Analytical Writing. Contact institution for graduate admission requirements. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x
reimbursement for exam per military career (while DANTES funding is available). See GRE/GMAT flier for more information.
GMAT (GRADUATE MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST) – Standardized exam for MBA studies. Students should contact their
institution for admission requirements. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement for exam per military career
(while DANTES funding is available). See GMAT/GRE flier for more information.
TOEFL (TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE) – Exam designed to assess foreign (non-native) student abilities to
understand and speak English in an academic setting, or business environment. Exam is comprised of 4-parts Reading, Listening,
Speaking, and Writing. Colleges, government agencies, businesses, and medical facilities may require TOEFL as a prerequisite for job
placement or enrollment into certain programs.
OASC (ONLINE ACADEMIC SKILLS COURSE) – Self-paced program that assesses student Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension and
Mathematical ability. Comprised of interactive computer-based games, problems and exercises designed to increase student
proficiency in each academic area.
GED (GRADUATE EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT) – A four subject computer-based high school equivalency exam measuring Science,
Social Studies, Mathematics Reasoning and Language Arts skills. Exam gives adults, who did not complete high school, the
opportunity to earn their high school equivalency credentials. Active duty/reserve military may qualify for a 1x reimbursement for
exam (while DANTES funding is available). Testing only available off base at National testing sites.
