COVER LETTER ASSIGNMENT

Directions: For your reflective cover letter (written to your e-folio audience), please write a brief
six-paragraph essay that explains how your English 1021 Portfolio reflects what you have
learned in English 1021. You will need to have the following:
Since this is a letter, you must have a greeting and a closing, and be sure to make
references to your audience in the letter itself.
A brief introduction of three-five sentences.
A first body paragraph that discusses what you learned from working on your Final
Portfolio Draft 1.
A second body paragraph that discusses what you learned from working on your Final
Portfolio Draft 2.
A third body paragraph that discuss what you learned from working on your
Argumentative Essay.
A fourth body paragraph that discusses what you learned from working on your e-folio
overall.
A brief conclusion of three-five sentences.
You will also need transitions between and within paragraphs, direct specific references to each
of your essays (quotes and paraphrases, especially), and a total of 500 words minimum.

This letter needs to be written directly on your e-folio-single space between paragraphs and do
not indent paragraphs. Please write it in the e-folio section called "English 1021 Portfolio."
