Health Club Sampling Health Club Sampling When an advertiser wants to reach a select audience of health-focused, fitness- driven consumers, there is no better way than through sampling at health clubs and gyms. Gym sampling is a great way to reach gym-goers accomplishing their daily workouts as it aligns the brand with a health and wellness message at the place where consumers are most receptive. Capabilities include but are not limited to product sampling, collateral distribution, sponsored classes, and onsite interaction with trained Brand Ambassadors. SHAPE MAGAZINE Trident Sampling Markets: New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA Overview: TH was approached by SHAPE Magazine to produce a gym sampling program for its advertiser, Trident. The objective with this particular campaign was to sample Trident at gyms in order to reach hygiene-conscious gym-goers. The product was placed in reception areas of gyms as well as locker rooms. Results: Gyms reported tremendous feedback and many went through their samples in one day. REAL SIMPLE MAGAZINE Biore Sampling Markets: New York, NY, Miami, FL, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA Overview: TH sent 4 Brand Ambassadors to distribute Biore face wash samples to various gyms in their respective cities. Each staff member brought a clear rectangular container to display the samples and placed it on the front desk of each gym for women to take while passing through. Women between the ages of 18-34 responded favorably to the free samples and were excited to try the new face scrub. The Brand Ambassador in New York City distributed at the Boom Fitness facilities on Third Avenue and Park Avenue, John Street Fitness Club and 5 Point Fitness. In Los Angeles, samples were distributed at Curves in Marina del Ray and UCLA, Meridian Sports Club in Century Park East and West Los Angeles on Olympic Boulevard. The Brand Ambassador in Chicago distributed at West Loop Gym, the Cheetah Gym on West North Avenue and West Kinzie Street, and the World Fitness Center. Finally, the staffer in Miami distributed at M Power Project Gym, Miami Health Fitness and New Fitness Concepts. Results: A total of 20,000 samples were distributed in the 4 markets. US Weekly Magazine Gift Bag Distribution Markets: Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL. Overview: TH sent Brand Ambassadors to distribute US Weekly gift bags at popular gyms in each market. Each staff member set up a table at the front desk of each gym where they distributed gift bags and engaged gym visitors to raise brand awareness. Each gift bag contained a copy of US Weekly Magazine and other promotional items. At each participating gym, TH assisted in securing US Weekly sponsored gym classes where loose copies of the magazine were displayed and made readily available. Results: A total of 4,000 copies of US Weekly were distributed across the 10 markets. JOHNSON & JOHNSON Gym Sampling Markets: Phoenix, AZ, Baltimore, MD, Columbus, OH, San Antonio, TX, and East Lansing, MI Overview: TH sent Brand Ambassadors to distribute samples of Johnson and Johnson Shave and Shower Gel for Women at popular gyms in each market. Each staff member set up a display at the front desk of each gym and engaged gym visitors to raise brand awareness. Results: A total of 15,000 samples were distributed at 12 gyms across all 5 markets. NIKE Trade In - Trade Up Gym Sampling Market: Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY Overview: TH teamed up with Lucky Magazine and Nike to promote their new workout video. 2 “fit” female Brand Ambassadors targeted certain key locations with the client to hand out Nike t-shirts and raise awareness for the video. Results: All three gyms that participated in the program were altogether thrilled with the results. They commented on how happy their clients were and that they continue to see many of their members wearing the shirts when they work out. One gym used the “Trade-up” program as an incentive for new members and felt that it really enhanced the gym’s image and overall feel.
