Student Council Elections 2015 Speech &
Poster Guidelines
Speeches and posters will be presented to a panel of teachers from various grade levels. The
teachers will use the following rubrics to score your speech and your campaign poster. Officers will
be decided by the panel of teachers and the scores that are earned on each element. The
recommendations that you received from your teachers will also be taken into consideration.

Please remember to practice your speech many times so that you only have to look down at your
notes occasionally during your speech. Memorizing the entire speech is not mandatory, but you
should know your speech well enough to make good eye contact with the audience.
