Supplemental Outreach Initiatives
Career Day Events
ASU Career Services sponsored a Student Job Fair at the Downtown Phoenix Campus of Arizona State
University on August 25, 2010, Staff had the opportunity to meet with ASU students and alumni,
present part-time employment opportunities, discuss career options and collect resumes, and send out
applications to interested students.

ASU Career Services held a Fall Internship & Career Fair on October 20, 2010 at the Arizona State
University Downtown Phoenix campus. Staff had the opportunity to meet with ASU students and
alumni, present internship opportunities, discuss career options and collect resumes, and send out
applications to interested students.

Each full-time job opening during the reporting period was announced and posted with organizations
and job banks of broad-based membership, including women and minorities; such as, Chicanos Por La
Causa, Phoenix Indian Center Inc., Greater Phoenix Urban League, Family Service Agency Employment &
Educational Support Service and NAACP of Arizona.

Internship & Employment Program for Students of Arizona State University
Ongoing – Station provides both Internship opportunities (Horizon/Horizonte) and Part-Time paid
positions for ASU students with an interest in Broadcast Communications. Production positions include
production crew for Eight/KAET Pledge Drives, studio productions (Horizon/Horizonte), and other local
productions with responsibilities ranging from editing to videography to directing. Other student duties
include positions in on-air promotion, operations, reception and graphic design. 9 Interns and 49 PartTime paid student positions.
