The University of Mississippi seeks participants for the Ole Miss Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Chemistry The National Science Foundation will fund ten (10) undergraduate students who have completed at least their freshman year in college but have not yet graduated. Student participants will receive a $5,000 stipend, housing and meal plan for 10 weeks, as well as travel assistance. REU researchers will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative atmosphere with a broad range of topics such as laser-based molecular spectroscopy, molecular modeling, computational quantum chemistry as well as the synthesis and characterization of new nanomaterials.
