All of our dealings with Scott-Long have been positive, engaging, cooperative, knowledgeable, responsive, professional, competent, thorough, transparent, honest, fair, and of the highest integrity. I unequivocally extend my highest recommendation for Scott-Long’s consideration. Your Superintendent was always available and was a gracious co-worker. He willingly provided information and answers when needed. He worked well with our staff and was respectful to everyone. On one or two occasions that warranted removing sub-contractor personnel, he acted swiftly to remedy the situation. Vice President, Campus Services President Larry & Beth Theriot Elementary Teacher & Head of School Completely lacking any experience as builders, we made the judgment early on that we could trust in the integrity and expertise of Scott-Long to build our school. We wanted you to know that our trust proved to be exceptionally well placed. We, however, could not have anticipated the patient professionalism of your team and how they handled our endless questions and anxieties, with a calm expertise that both informed and comforted us, especially at difficult moments. Parents, students, and teachers all agree that the Academy is a wonderful place to be and we thank you for making it so. Alan Reyes Senior Vice President of Operations, USO Please accept my thanks for everything that the ScottLong team did to make the Topping Out ceremony such a success. It was a terrific event that not only reflected the great value of this project for our wounded, ill, and injured military members but also the superb partnership and dedication exhibited by Scott-Long and our subcontractor team to build this incredibly important center. Please know that the effort to get the site ready and to execute the ceremony itself were greatly appreciated by our entire USO team. The site prep, the food, the t-shirts . . . everything . . . was just terrific. Kudos to the entire team and especially to Chris Carder for making it so! Sharon S. Oum Project Manager, Grimm+Parker Architects We have found Scott-Long to be one of the best builders that we have worked with. They bring a commitment to value engineering, cost-saving ideas and most important, understanding of the construction process. They are diligent, caring, knowledgeable, positive, proactive and patient. Gordon Hay Exec. Director, INOVA Cancer Services Just want to say how much I appreciate Scott-Long for staying on top of all the issues. You have done a great job following up on everything and responding to problems right away and with an outstanding attitude. INOVA has some pretty rigorous “behavioral standards”, and I would say your grade on those standards is 10 out of 10. Scott Longendyke Senior Project Manager I wanted to take a few minutes to express my gratitude to the Scott Long Construction team for the recently completed PartnerMD project in Lansdowne, VA. Your construction team assigned to the PartnerMD project did a tremendous job. The SLC team was able to seamlessly manage the project while the tenant and architectural team from Richmond had no concerns or anxieties about having a build-out occur so far from their main operations. The cooperation and enthusiasm level that I experienced with your SLC team is something that I feel has set you apart from your competitors. When faced with an obstacle on the project, whether it’s a field condition issue or WRIT request or tenant change, the immediate response from the team was always a positive, eager and helpful attitude. Kate Davis, Ed.D. Director Learning and Organizational Development I am so surprised by this level of customer service that I’m having difficulty finding the words to let you know how much I appreciate all of this. Your follow-up and Tom’s efforts at taking the time to check in with the folks who did the work, especially in the midst of your heavy plates, are examples of what we strive for at MGH. I would so love to know that everyday we are providing this level of service to our patients, families, physicians, and each other. Mike and Efrain are an example to me, and for a long time they will be sitting in my mind, inspiring me to go the extra mile with everyone I serve. Tony Abernathy Director, Plant Operations Scott-Long not only completed a quality project, but did so while facing difficult situations such as the extremely aggressive schedule, as well as working in close proximity to an acute patient population, while always paying astute attention to their needs such as infection control, Interim Life Safety, and minimal noise. I am typically somewhat guarded in writing letters of recommendation, however following my experience with you and your team, I am pleased to recommend your services to anyone.
