Eastfield College Honda PACT is an aggressive professional program geared toward training today’s Honda and Acura Technicians. Upon completion of a 2 year program students will earn an Associates of Applied Science in Automotive Technology - Honda degree and factory certification. Eligibility: To be eligible to enroll in Eastfield College Honda PACT Automotive Program, the student must complete the mandatory orientation program. This requires: 1. Meet with an Automotive Advisor or faculty member. 2. Complete an application for admission to Eastfield College. 3. Complete a degree/certificate plan request. 4. Submit Proof of Meningitis Vaccination. 5. The Texas Assessment Test is recommended: The College will use the following minimum passing standards to determine a student’s readiness to enroll in freshman-level academic coursework. The test results will inform the student of their potential for successful completion of the AAS Honda degree. In order to be college ready a student must score a 351 in reading, 363 in writing with a writing sample of 4 or 5 and 350 in math level or higher. If a student does not meet the minimum standards, it is strongly suggested they take developmental courses until they meet minimum standards. 6. Take and pass the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension test with a minimum score of 34. Maximum of 2 attempts are allowed in one school year: August-June. If a student does not score a 40 on their first attempt, he or she will have to wait one week before testing again. See Dr. Byrd (T-141) or Mrs. Bellamy (T-142) for a scantron to take the Bennett Mechanical Test. 7. Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer.
