Emergency Service Livery 10 Year Lifetime Warranty
3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG3 Reflective sheeting with assured seal
3M takes its product responsibilities seriously, and takes a long-term view on performance. The following warranties are based on an extensive supply of
3M Diamond Grade DG3 Reflective sheeting with assured seal into the UK emergency services market for over seven years.
In addition to our UK experience this guarantee is based on extensive accelerated ageing testing on the raw materials used in our products, backed up by
natural weathering decks around the world.
Performance Warranty
3M warrants that when used for the manufacture of emergency service liveries, Diamond Grade DG3 Reflective Sheeting with assured seal will meet the stated
minimum R A values in the Performance Table for 10 years.

• Retroreflectivity readings will be > 80% of the initial minimum performance
• Minimum values stated are obtained by averaging the R A values measured when sheeting is tested at 0° and 90° orientation.
Chromaticity
The chromaticity and the luminance factor shall comply with the limits defined in the table below when illuminated with CIE Standard Illuminant D65.
The sample shall be illuminated at 0° to the surface and measure the reflected light in the direction of 45° to the normal to its surface (CIE O/45 geometry).

Edge Seal Warranty
All assured seal edges are warranted to be at least 95% completely sealed from new. Over time some natural degradation may occur, however this will not fall
below 80% throughout the 10 year life of the livery.
In the event of a vehicle livery failing to meet the warranted performance or edge seal levels, 3M will cover the cost of cutting, sealing and re-applying the
affected liveries.
CONDITIONS
3M vehicle livery 10 year lifetime warranty is for the life of the vehicle up to a maximum of 10 years from the date of registration. (13 plate onwards)
Warranty applies to the owner of the vehicle at the time the livery is applied.
All 3M vehicle livery must be processed by an ‘assured seal plus 3M partner’ and applied in accordance with 3M application and fabrication procedures stated
in 3M’s product and instruction bulletins.
Additionally, 3M recommendations must be followed for the shipping and storage of liveries prior to application and for their maintenance thereafter.
The above warranties do not apply to failure to meet the stated performance or edge seal levels which occur as a result of outside causes such as handling,
storage, application and maintenance; exposure to chemicals, abrasion, collisions, vandalism or malicious mischief.
3M’s liability under these conditions shall be limited to the cost of replacement materials, the cost of labour involved in manufacturing replacement livery and
the cost of re-application of the replacement livery. No compensation is payable for any other loss including (without limitation) machine burden, business
overhead, travel, supervision, or other costs or loss.
3M reserves the right to determine the method of replacement.
Replacement liveries will carry the unexpired warranty of the livery it replaces.
The above warranties are provided in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied, statutory or otherwise.
