Course Fees There are tuition fees for most courses, which are payable at enrolment, however for courses that are Government funded, students may be able to claim fee remission. There have been changes to fee remission categories for 2015/16. Please see the Fee Remission Guide. For students who do not qualify, full payment of all fees is required at enrolment. Please note, tuition fees do not include other fees, such as materials / a Disclosure and Barring Service check, formally known as an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, which may be charged separately. Students may still be required to pay these fees at enrolment. Refunds of other fees are not made unless the course is cancelled. For courses lasting less than 1 year, for example 6 weeks, the fee stated is for the duration of the course. For courses lasting 1 academic year or more, the fee stated is for year 1 of the course. Please note that in this brochure a course highlighted in red, that doesn’t also have an * by it, is only being offered on a full cost basis. This means the price isn’t subsidised by Government funding but it is possible that the same qualification may be available elsewhere through grant funding or a loan. Students under 19 years If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August 2015, you pay no tuition or exam fees for Government funded courses, unless you are studying somewhere else or course fees are being paid by your training provider. Please note that students under the age of 19 may not be able to enrol on certain courses.
