Taiwan has been major manufacturing and exporting country of technology and many other industries. To provide the world with high quality and also environmental-friendly products, Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) was founded in March 2011. GTPO, supervised by the
Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan, is a
non-profit organization and a think tank of researchers and experts in
economics, environment, and international green policy, aiming to
make the world a better place by facilitating global green trade with
high-quality green products and innovated technology from Taiwan.
To reach the goal, GTPO has been working as an informationexchange platform to bridge eco and economy by facilitating the communication among different countries and areas, fields and industries,

How do you start from yoga mats and go on to develop something that has the characteristic of wood
without cutting down trees? From the technology of
thermoplastic elastomer, Microcell has developed
CELLwood, a non-toxic, chloride free, no PVC material that is made to solve the problems of extensive
logging in the furniture industry and the weakness of
wood plastic composite products.
CELLwood bears a striking resemblance to wooden products but
with characteristics of water-proof, insect-resistant, highly durable
(similar to teak) and bendable by heating up. It can be processed in
the same way as timber, such as polishing, sawing, trimming, nailing,
drilling, washing and grinding. CELLwood is suitable for indoor and
outdoor furnishing, especially for wet environments such as bathrooms.

China Man-Made Fiber Corporation (CMFC) made
history by being the first to produce rayon in Taiwan.
In compliance with government policy of the developing petrochemical industry, CMFC has expanded

Greencol Taiwan Corporation (GTC) produces bio-mono ethylene
glycol (bio-MEG), a precursor to PET plastic, from sugarcane-based
ethanol in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. GTC is a 50:50 joint venture between
Taipei-based China Man-Made Fiber Corporation and Nagoya-based
Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC). Together GTC and Toyota
Tsusho build up a global integrated supply chain for bio-PET. The
application includes bio-PET based textiles for car interiors and bioPET based bottles.
PET contains 70% PTA and 30% MEG. In bio-PET, the 30% of
MEG is replaced by bio-MEG made from sugar cane. Bio-PET is
similar in quality to petroleum-based PET, but is more environmentally friendly. Compared to petroleum-based PET, Bio-PET reduces
the amount of petroleum used by 30%; reduces CO2 emissions by
30%. In addition, it can be used and recycled just like petroleumbased products.

China Green Energy focuses on energy recycling and
reuse. The flagship product of China Green Energy is
Road Power Generator, which harnesses excess vehicle energy ('kinetic' or 'rolling' energy) and converts it

BeBe Cotton is a niche player in the green textile market. In 2008, BeBe introduced Natural
Dyes by applying natural pigment derived from
plant extracts with organic cotton. The company is able to produce a large quantity of 100 kg fabrics in a continuous dyeing production process. In 2011, BeBe initiated Eco dyes, a
new dyeing technology that saves nearly 60% of water usage, 70% of
