We Can Help!
The Academic Learning Center is here to offer academic support to all Marist students. How do we do that?
We have many programs and services that are available throughout your Marist career.
Proofreading
Having your paper proofread can make a significant difference in your grade. Writing is required in most
college classes, not just Writing for College!
So how does it work? The ALC offers a FREE walk-in service as well as a FREE online service using iLearn.
If your paper is more than 10 pages, please call our office to schedule an appointment.

College courses can be difficult. Don’t be afraid to seek out extra help. Whether it’s to boost your GPA or help
you pass, the ALC can assist you!
Tutoring is available in most subject areas. Our staff will do their best to accommodate your academic needs.
Simply start by filling out a Tutor Request Form in our office, and our Tutor Coordinator will guide you from
there.
So what does it cost? Some programs on campus offer financial assistance for tutoring. If you are not part of
those programs, the fee is $8 per hour.
