ISTE main Workshop on “Computer Networking”
A one week ISTE main workshop on “Computer
Networking” was organized at Dronacharya Group
of Institutions, Greater Noida, which was
Conducted by Indian Institute of Technology,
Bombay under the National Mission on Education
through ICT from June 30th to 5th July 2014. Mr.
Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor,
Department of Computer Science & Engineering
was the workshop coordinator. 26 faculty members
from different institutes attended this workshop.
The Objective of this workshop was to understand
the concept of multiplexing using Ethernet "frame
type" field, IP "protocol field" and Transport "port
number" field.
Workshop on “How to publish a technical paper with
IEEE”
A One day workshop on “How to publish a technical
paper with IEEE” was organized at Admin Hall, India
Institute of Technology, Delhi on August 11, 2014. Ms.
Bhanu Bhardwaj, Faculty, Computer Science Department
DGI, Greater Noida was delegated to attend the
workshop.
The objective of this workshop was to develop an
understanding of how to write a research paper that can
be published on IEEE platform, and the description of an
acceptable quality of paper.
Microsoft Technology Enriched Instruction
A one day Faculty Development Workshop on Microsoft
Technology Enriched Instruction was organized by
Microsoft on 17th November, 2014 at G. D. Goenka
University, Gurgaon. Mr. Manoj Yadav- Dept. of
Computer Science & Engineering from Dronacharya
Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the
workshop.
The purpose of this workshop was to create awareness
of the benefits of technology integrated into instruction
and the breadth of technology available. It was also to
increase enthusiasm among teachers for investigating
and increasing their appropriate use of technology in
their own classrooms.
CISCO Networking Academy Conference And
Instructor Retooling Workshop 2014
Two Days Workshop on CISCO NETWORKING ACADEMY
CONFERENCE AND INSTRUCTOR RETOOLING WORKSHOP
2014 was held at Amity University, Noida on November
20th and 21st, 2014. Faculty members from various
educational Institutions participated in this workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to make the
participants aware regarding up gradation in CISCO
Networking Security.

Electronics & Communication Engineering &. Mr. Pawan

delegate.
NS2 Workshop
SRM University, Delhi-NCR Campus, Modinagar, Gaziyabad,
Department Of Computer Science Engineering organized Two
Days Workshop on NETWORK SIMULATOR(NS2) on
December 29th and 30th, 2014.The objective of the workshop
was to make the participants aware regarding up gradation in
use of Network Simulator in a effective way.

Abroad’ IEEE
A Seminar on ‘Higher Education Streams in India and
Abroad’ organized by the CSI, ISTE and IEEE Student
Branch of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater
India was conducted by Pythagurus Education Pvt.
Ltd. on 3rd September, 2014.
The guest speakers for the session were Mr. Jatin
Bhandari, Founder and CEO, Pythagurus and Mr.
Diwakar Bhagat, Centre Manager. The objective of
the seminar was to introduce the students to various
higher education options available in India and
abroad, and the eligibility and preparation for the
same
E-seminar- Steps 2 Research
A Two day National eSeminar on Steps 2 research organized
by Department of Computer Science & Computer
Applications, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering,
Kanjirappally in association with IIT Bombay, ISTE Kerala
Section and CSI Cochin Chapter was held at Dronacharya
Group of Institutions on 19th and 20th September 2014. The
event was broadcast to 2500 participants across all over
India though A-View platform.
The objective of the seminar was to emphasise on the need
of setting up a research mind set for the interest and the
development of the nation and to contribute to the
advancement of the country in the areas of technology.
National Seminar on Skill India - Challenges and
Solutions
A National Seminar on Skill India-Challenges and
Solutions was organized by PHD Chamber of
Commerce & Industry on 20th September, 2014 at
PHD House, New Delhi. Around 70 participants from
different organizations across Delhi attended the
event. Ms. Niti Gupta, Assistant Professor,
Department Computer Science & Engineeringalong
with Gunjit Sidhar, Student, CSE participated in the
event representing Dronacharya Group of
Institutions, Greater Noida.
Seminar-GSA Event
A One day Seminar on 'Google & Website Development
Trends' was conducted as the Inaugural event of 2014
Google Student Club, Dronacharya Group of Institutions,
Greater Noida on 14th October, 2014.
The session emphasized the importance of a GSA and the
activities carried on the campus under the Google Student
Club. The audience comprised students of 2nd and 3rd year
CSE, IT & ECE.
The event commenced with a Non-Technical session which
focused on a brief introduction about the GSA program and
its importance along with various Google products and
introducing the GSC team to the students.
Leveraging Pro-AV Communication
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (FICCI) organized a seminar on “Leveraging ProAV Communications Technology in Propelling India’s
Digital Future” on 21st November, 2014. Ms. Rakhi
Agrawal, Faculty CSE attended the event as invitee along
with 10 students of second year.
Eminent speakers from the world of Communication
technologies participated and expressed their views
regarding the Importance of Pro AV in government as
well private sector.
Mr. Rajesh Patkar , Deputy General Manager, Christie
Digital Systems(India) Pvt. Ltd. raised concern over the
lack of infrastructure in educational institutes and
problems faced in communication due to this.

Microsoft’s ‘Women in Tech’ and ‘YouthSpark Programme’
Ms. Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Union Minister for Human
Resource Development and Mr. Satya Nadella, CEO,
Microsoft along with Microsoft’s announcement of
commercial cloud services – Azure and Office 365, from
local data centers by the end of 2015. With a clear
focus on India’s youth and the growing internet
population, Mr. Nadella and his team also shared
Microsoft’s ‘Women in Tech’ and ‘YouthSpark
Programme’ on 30th September 2014.
The Objective of the webinar importance of continuous
“learning” and not just continuous “employment”, as
well as the ability to listen, change with the times and
experiment, and learn to move on from failure were
listed as the key factors for professional success.
Cisco Women Rock IT
The web based seminar was conducted as a part of the
Cisco initiative for inclusive growth of Indian IT industry
on gender basis and hence bring in more women into the
IT sector, under the Cisco India initiative ' Women Rock-IT
'. Ms. Monique Morrow, Distinguished Consulting
Engineer AND Chief Technology Officer, on 12th
November 2014 Cisco delivered the keynote session and
beautifully laid emphasis on the importance of Women in
IT since the inception of programming and
argumentatively stated the necessity to bring them up in
the IT sector for the benefit of IT industry itself. The aspect
of the webinar was the Women Rock IT initiative is looking
forward to build local communities for girls and women
to meet, network ideas.

Innovation Summit 2014
Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Vice President, PHD Chamber focused the
importance of Innovation in the contemporary scenario, and the
role being played by the SMEs in this direction. Mr. Surender Nath
Tripathi, Joint Secretary (SME), Ministry of Micro, Small &
Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India also addressed the gathering
and applauded the efforts being made by SMEs towards the
economic growth of the country. The sessions were succeeded by
the release of an android app for MSMEs which shall be beneficial
to all stakeholders.
The objectives of this summit bringing MSMEs, financial
institutions and the training providers on a common platform for
synchronization of the efforts towards a common goal of the
upliftment of the SMEs in India.
HT Campus Education Conclave
HT Campus Conclave on Education with the theme
'Meeting the Talent Demand' was organized by Hindustan
Times on 29th October, 2014 at Crown Plaza, Gurgaon.
Prof. Sachin Gupta, HOD, CSE and Prof. Divyanshu
Sinha, HOD, IT represented Dronacharya Group of
Institutions at the prestigious event.
The basic objective behind the forum was to answer the
question of whether educational institutes in India are
providing the correct skill sets to its graduating students to
meet industry’s demand. The conclave was attended by 180
delegates, including experts from educational institutes
and the recruitment sector. Graduate Employability Ratio
was the most prominent topic on the agenda and was
unanimously seen as the major concern of both
academicians and industrialists.

A One week training programon ‘IBM CE-Basics of Information
Management with DB2’ was organized at Dronacharya Group
of Institutions, Greater Noida from 3rd November to 7th
November, 2014. Students from Computer Science &
Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT) and Computer
Sciences and Information Technology branches participated in
the training program.
Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of
Computer Science & Engineering coordinated the training
program.
The training sessions were delivered by Mr. Yogesh Sharma, Sr.
Trainer from Web Tek Labs Pvt. Ltd, IBM Education Delivery
Partner.
Cisco Instructor Training
A two week training on CISCO Instructor Training Program
organized at Amrita Vidthyapeetham Coiambatore during
November 24th- December 6th 2014. Arround 11 faculty
mambers participated in this training program from accross th
country. Mr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor,
Department of Computer Science & Engineering attended the
training as delegates from Dronacharya Group of Institutions,
Greater Noida.
IEEE SSCS Delhi Chapter Distinguished Lectures
A Distinguished Lecture Colloquia was organized
by IEEE SSCS Delhi Chapter on 19th Dec. 2014 at ST
Microelectronics, Greater Noida . Ms Bhanu
Bhardwaj ,Asst. Prof., Computer Science dept. and
three students of DGI, Greater Noida attended the
lecture as delegate
Prof. Madhavan Swaminanthan, George Institute
of Technology Atlanta , explained device
simulation and its various applications in industry.
He also gave understanding on their interplay for
managing signal, power and thermal integrity.
