OPMA Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony - Recap and Photos
On November 14th, the OPMA hosted its Annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Liberty Grand in
Toronto.
The cocktail reception featured a stunning 6 foot tall snowflake ice sculpture, a glass artist who was creating takehome glass ornaments on-site that guests were able to take home to hang on their Christmas trees, and a digital
photo-op with take-home photos. Guests enjoyed the authentically Canadian sweet taste of Maple taffy at the two
maple taffy tasting stations. The attendees also enjoyed delicious gourmet appetizers created by the Liberty
Grand’s prestigious chef. In addition, the cocktail reception also had two caricature artists creating custom cartoon
drawings of guests, a silent auction which featured an assortment of sports memorabilia, Toronto Raptors and
Toronto Maple Leaf tickets, jewelry, paintings, gift certificates, and much more!

Outstanding Achievement Award: Oceans Fresh Food Market
Cory Clack-Streef Produce Person of the Year: Sam Silvestro, Walmart
Lifetime Achievement Award: Don Mastronardi, Mastronardi Produce
Following the awards ceremony, famed Canadian comedian, Ron James, performed an hour of stand-up-comedy.

The evening ended with a grand prize giveaway of the winner’s choice of an Alaskan cruise!
The OPMA would like to thank the over 500 guests who attended, and the many industry sponsors who helped
make this year’s Winter Wonderland Gala so memorable.
