Summer 2015 Class Notes 1958 Jerry Blevins BA has written a book titled The Whole Life: Healthy Human Living. It has been published by Halo Publishing International. It can be ordered through locak book stores or from Halo. 1968 Abby (Porter) Ramsey BA retired three years ago from the Madison County (Indiana) Sheriff’s Department after 32 years as court administrator in the Civil Office. She is now substitute teaching in the Alexandria, Ind., school system. She also plays the piano and sings solos at her the Church at Linwood. 1970 Rebecca (Atts) Harwick BA writes, “We are retired and living in North Carolina near our daughter. 1976 Lydia (Perkins) Bradley is working on a PhD in education-instructional leadership. She hopes to graduate in the spring of 2016. In October 2014, Lydia was inducted into the KAPPA DELTA PI sorority and two years ago was initiated into the Golden Key International Honor Society. 1978 Diana (Anderson) Stover AA, BA writes, “On Oct. 9, 2014, Paul, my husband of 33 years, completed our love story on our anniversary. He fought multiple myeloma for almost 12 years. I completed my years of hospice chaplaincy work and have retired. Plans are to enjoy by ‘up north’ cottage on the Leeluna Pennisula of Michigan and enjoy our Rochester Hills home while writing, quilting, painting, and being with my dogs.” 1979 Christine Evans-Klock BA was appointed by the United Nations Secretary General to represent the United Nations in Ghana as the UN resident coordinator in January 2015. After 19 years with the International Labour Organization in Geneva and Bangkok, Chris and her husband, John Klock ’76 now live in the West African city of Accra, the capital of Ghana, and welcome hearing from friends at evansklockjc@gmail.com. They have grown twin sons: Cory teaches chemistry in the Teach for America program in Las Vegas, and Jasper is pursuing a master’s degree in political science in Geneva. Michael Getkin BA became a grandparent on March 23, 2014, with the birth of his grandson, James Tyler Giles. Michael and his wife celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in October 2014. 1982 Timothy J. Cooley BA sang with the Long Island University Post Choir, Chamber Singers, and The Cecilia Chorus of New York at Carnegie Hall on May 2, 2015. The performance featured the work of Beethoven. 1990 Lisa Diem BA joined the Capital University Law School as the director of paralegal programs in January. She oversees the post-baccalaureate programs for students interested in careers as paralegals, legal nurse consultants, and life care planners. 1992 Sean Augustus BA moved from Ohio to New York to start up a new fruit manufacturing facility in the Syracuse area. His daughter, Erin, was a freshman at AU this past year. 2008 Amanda Welu MBA and three other partners launched a new design firm, DELV Design.
