The mission of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation is to promote the role of the arts in the region and
facilitate the artistic activities of member organizations.

The vision of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation is to emerge as a model for arts advocacy
in Indiana with shared leadership of an engaged alliance of arts organizations in the

From the Executive Director
Fiscal year 2007 was a year of both change
and evolution for the Tippecanoe Arts
Federation. In its 31st year, the organization
steadied itself against several obstacles. A
trying year financially, board and staff
implemented a streamlined approach to the
operations of the organization in order to
retain consistency in the level of services and
programs TAF provides to its 14 county
region.
An updated website and a more technically
proficient system were integrated into the day
to day operations of TAF. Staff and board
assumed additional responsibilities during the
Executive Director’s sabbatical which levied a
potential shortfall of $15,000. Abigail Props
joined the staff of TAF June of 2007 as
Administrative Assistant. The addition of
Props allowed for Business Manager David
Raymer to further align the finances of TAF
on an accrual basis.
TAF Board of Directors focused the latter part
of the fiscal year to develop the primary goals,
both long and short term, of the organization.
With the impending departure of the seven
year executive director, the Board responded
by putting into motion an action plan to better
achieve the mission of the Tippecanoe Arts
Federation.
