Hall, RLA, ASLA, AICP Phone: 706-542-2916 E-mail: dahall@uga.edu Office: 510C Caldwell Office Hours: by appointment only Course Objectives: This professional practice course will introduce the ethical, financial, legal, management, contractual and administrative issues encountered in numerous forms of landscape architecture practice. Furthermore this course will clarify the procedures for licensure in landscape architecture. Academic Integrity: This course will be conducted in accordance with the UGA University Honor Code and Academic Honesty Policy. All academic work must meet the standards contained in “A Culture of Honesty.” Each student is responsible for becoming knowledgeable about these standards before performing any academic work. Students should feel encouraged to learn and study together, however quizzes and exams are to reveal the level of accomplishment of the individual student. Examinations: There will be three (3) exams throughout the semester as noted in the syllabus. Each exam will be cumulative and will be worth 20% of your class grade. Quizzes: There will be at a minimum five (5) unannounced in–class assignments throughout the semester. These unannounced in–class assignments will make up 20% of your class grade. In the event that more than five (5) in-class assignments are given, the lowest scores may be dropped at the discretion of the Instructor. Please note that there will not be makeups for missed assignments. If you are scheduled for a sanctioned field trip and I am notified by your instructor a minimum of one (1) week in advance, every effort will be made not to schedule in-class assignments on those days.
