A foreign language requirement in Commerce applies to transfer students first enrolling at UIUC Summer 2002 or later. For graduation, students must complete at least 4 years of the same foreign language in high school or 4 semesters in college. Students are encouraged to complete this language requirement prior to transfer to allow for reasonable course loads junior and senior years. Effective Summer 2002, completion of the 3rd-year level of high school foreign language or the 2nd-semester level of college foreign language will be required of transfer students for admission to the college. 3. Remember that only the 4th level of foreign language counts as DACC/UI humanities credit. Therefore, if the foreign language requirement was completed in high school, a humanities elective must be completed in this slot. 4. Business Administration/Management majors are required to take PSYC100, Intro to Psychology, as this social science elective. PSYC240, Social Psychology, is also required of Business Administration majors. 5. The Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting sequence must be completed on the same campus.
