The student would work in the labs of Dr. Welch in the new EEEL building. The student’s thesis would center on solar energy conversion and storage, with an emphasis on materials characterization and device fabrication and testing. The candidate will be a highly motivated young scientist with a strong passion for energy research. A GPA of 3.5/4 and a strong undergraduate track record that would be competitive in the NSERC scholarship competition is required. Undergraduate research experience in materials science, physics, chemistry, or electrical engineering will be beneficial.
