MOTUL TECH BARALDI
Founded in 1917, Baraldi has been developing and
producing diecasting lubricants and release agents since the
70s. The company operates on an area of approx. 3000
square meters, assuring an extremely efficient and flexible
production. In 2006 Baraldi became partner of MotulTech,
to share know-how, market strategies and to develop
national and international activities.
Today Baraldi represents the reference for HPDC lubricants
within the Group MOTUL.
An avant-garde quality control, research and development
laboratory is the strength of MOTUL Tech Baraldi. Our
Mission is to be a partner of our Customers to overcome
the challenges that the market offers, seeking complete
solutions, including alternatives, that create Value for All
stakeholders involved, safeguarding the Economic, Social
and Environmental interest. In our Vision we seek the
Excellence, day after day, in the products, services and in
the research of solutions with a lean and customer-oriented
approach. We have developed the project “Aluminium
Way”, a useful tool to assist customers engaged in the daily
production of Aluminum parts, proposing solutions through
“Products, Services and Training” side by side in all stages
of production.

MOTUL FLUID FORCE
MotulTech realizes special lubricants at international level. Its
high performance products for metal working, developed in
France and Italy, are distributed in many parts of the world
thanks to an extensive network: Southern Europe (Paris,
Bologna), Central Europe (Cologne), India (Mumbai), Asia
(Singapore).
MotulTech is present in areas with a high industrial potential,
with technical units following companies that supply useful
services to producers.
MotulTech develops, produces and sells special lubricants
meeting the requirements of producers of many different
sectors: lubrication in industrial processes - metal working high performance lubrication for mineral and stone cutting
- applications in extreme conditions (temperature, hostile
environment, etc).
Today the Motul brand, with its 150 years of history in
the field of lubricants, represents a group organized on
an international scale, (in eight strategic areas all over
the world), employing 700 people, with activities in 80
countries as well as production plants and laboratories in
Europe, United States and Asia.

The pursuit of our “Mission” brings us to the continuous
research of solutions, often completely new. “CASTING”
line includes a wide range of lubricants and release
agents for thin- and/or thick-walled castings or parts
with complex geometries.
The “CASTING TTV” series represents the new die
lubricants developed for and thanks to the technology
TOTAL THERMAL VISION, ensuring very high
performances.
The wide range of “PISTOCAST” Plunger Lubricants,
with the relevant Application Systems, permits to
achieve an efficient lubrication satisfying the highest
requirements.
This range includes water based product, neat oils,
products in pearls or greases, as well as a choice of
highly biodegradable products.
The line of auxiliary products “B-TECH” responds to
the highest requirements of the diecasting process and
all the relevant enslaved and associated operations.
The cleaning and disinfectant products of the series
“B-TECH CLEANER”, as well as the product lines
“B-TECH DECAL”, “B-TECH LUBE”, “B-TECH PASTE”
etc., are constantly enriched with new formulations
developed to solve problems in particular application
and to reduce hidden costs in Customers production
processes.

This is our project to make the diecasting process as
more “sustainable” as possible, particularly in the
use of our lubricants.
The research in process optimization, that allows for
reduction of the consumption, permits to be firstly
efficacious and secondly efficient.
Beside this, we consider waste water, after a due
treatment, as a reusable by-product.
Baraldi School is the result of the awareness that
the continuous flow of technical information and
updates, connected with the production process
of our customers and with the correct use of our
technologies, is the necessary instrument to train,
inside and outside, all the engaged persons.
TTV
TOTAL THERMAL VISION
It is the technology to measure the die
surface temperature on process, and, as a
consequence, to improve the process.
TOTAL THERMAL VISION is a technology
covered by International Patents.
TOTAL THERMAL VISION is a thermographic system acting “on-process”, which allows to monitor the whole
thermal state of the die surface, before and after lubrication, cycle after cycle, storing the acquired thermal
maps. TOTAL THERMAL VISION can be equipped with one or two detection units.
The special casing that houses the thermocamera permits to use this technology in aggressive environments
such as the diecasting foundries.
The information obtained from the analysis of data allow optimizations of the design and durability of
the die, reduction of wear due to thermal shock, optimization of start-up phases and continuous process
improvements, optimization of the parameters of thermoregulation and lubrication of the die with minimization
of waste water quantity, creating an ID for each cast produced, with a total control on the quality related to the
thermal management of the process.

Dosing System for Die lubricants
CASTO-MIX 0540 is a release agent dosing system
developed to easily and effectively respond to diecasting
foundries requirements. Thanks to a compact stainless
steel structure and to the high quality components with
standard spare parts available on the market, CASTOMIX 0540 is an excellent opportunity for foundries that
want to equip a single diecasting machines with a dosing
unit. The use of a vertical multistage pump, controlled
by an inverter, assures the necessary flow and pressure
to meet even the most demanding requirements.
PLUNG
LUB SYSTEM
Dosing System for Plunger Lubricants
PLUNG LUB SYSTEM is a dosing system for liquid
lubricants for injection plunger tips in diecasting
machines.
It has been developed to easily respond to diecasting
foundries requirements. The compact structure,
which is very easy to install and the high quality
components, with spare parts available on the
market, make PLUNG LUB SYSTEM the optimal
solution for plunger lubrication.
The use of a volumetric dosing unit operated with
compressed air, assures an absolute constancy of
dosage and the possibility to use it either in airless
conditions (drop system) or as spray, according to the
specific requirements.
