Communications: • Curate materials for the website, Central Catholic Magazine, and all social media • Continuously update website with detailed, accurate, and timely information in regard to all school activities • Develop working relationships with students, parents, teachers, coaches, and administrators as a way to stay in touch with news sources • Develop and execute all electronic marketing for important development and admissions projects/events • Write articles for the Central Catholic Magazine • Serve on editing team for the Central Catholic Magazine • Continuously monitor and update social media • Produce press releases for all pertinent media outlets • Manage digital projects in partnership with creative agencies • Produce web forms and troubleshoot technical issues on the website • Photography and videography Job Scope The Communications Coordinator works as part of the Development team in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment. They must possess the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, maintain flexible hours, and be willing to assist one another as needed, and assist with and attend development activities and meetings. Experience with writing, preferably for different types of media, e.g. web, social media, and magazine but will consider a recent graduate with strong sample course work and professor recommendations. Skilled at editing and proof reading with good research skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sony Vegas Pro (or other video editing software), content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.), and Blackbaud software a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, reach, sit, hear, handle, and perform repetitive motions of the fingers, hands, and /or wrists. Must be able lift and move items up to 20 pounds. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The Communications Coordinator is required to perform extensive computer work in a school or office setting. Employee may be required to attend occasional evening events.
