Our center is family-owned and operated by parents of twin toddlers and we understand the value of a quality-learning center. We offer the ideal combination of a nurturing atmosphere, well-rounded curriculum and a family feel. From our infant and toddler rooms to preschool, our continuity of care creates a smooth transition for your child. Our all-inclusive approach to early childhood education features phonics, language development, science, computers, and physical education. Many activities such as yoga, Kidokinetics (a specialized exercise program), music, ballet, the arts and languages such as French and Mandarin are included at no extra charge. Preparation for Kindergarten Cherry Blossom is a learning center, not a daycare or babysitting facility. To maximize each child’s potential we strive to educate, and enhance the development of children, not only academically but socially, emotional and physically as well. Our Educators Classes are led by Certified Teachers with a low student/ teacher ratio. Our warm and caring staff have educational credentials in the most current Early Literacy strategies and techniques. Curriculum CBLC offers a traditional curriculum to provide children with the necessary foundation to begin Kindergarten. In addition, CBLC uses the Creative Curriculum as a method for teaching developing emergent literacy skills, including oral communication, knowledge of’ print and letters, phonemic and phonological awareness, vocabulary and comprehension development. Each classroom features eight learning centers where the children work cooperatively in small groups to reach developmental milestones and school readiness through exploring, experimenting, and repetition. OUR MISSION is to improve the lives of the diverse children and families in our community by delivering high quality educational child care in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment with knowledgeable staff members that promote the physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth to ensure that our children and their families are ready for a lifetime of development and learning. CBLC offers convenient and flexible hours and in consideration of the needs of working parents closes only 8 days of the school calendar. Full-day, part-day and half-day programming and extended hours are available. A Webcam onsite (Free of Charge) enables parents to monitor daily activities. Children are provided with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Cherry Blossom (CBLC) is a 501 (c) 3 Learning Center serving children ages 3 months to 5 years; and 6 to 10 year old thru the After-School and/or Summer Program. CBLC accepts School Readiness Children, Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), and private. CBLC hours of operation: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Infants Baby's first year is an exciting time with lots of exploration and discovery. Research shows experiences that involve sensory and motor investigations and engage infants in social interactions build brain connections. Early Childhood Any preschool can help a child learn letters, numbers, or shapes. At Cherry Blossom, we help children learn how to learn. Our curriculum emerges from the child’s interest and through experiential learning. We encourage every child to ask “why?” and discover the answers for themselves. Literacy and early reading skills start here. About Us Daily Activities Math and Manipulative helps your child learn about number concepts, problem solving, order, serializing and coordination. Sensory Wet and Dry allows children to experience mixture, touch, consistency, measurement, volume, and enhances math and science experiences. Block Building teaches your child about shape, dimension, size, construction, balance and cooperation. Music and Movement helps your child experience creativity, patterns, melody, as well as builds large motor skills. Science and Discovery is all about weights, plants, pets, magnets, measurements, and the world around us. Dramatic Play is all about the world of pretend, self-identifications, family and community CBLC has 3,800 square feet with five classrooms and an outside playground area. All classrooms have access to computers and Internet connection. Enrichment Programs CBLC provides after-school programs, summer camp, and extra-curricular activities for children in the areas of Dance, Art, Yoga, and exposure to technology through the use of age appropriate software.
