Features and benefits
Real-time
flow measurement
– Provides affordable, real-time flow
measurements with no equipment
to manage or maintain
Maintenance
free
– Needs no periodic maintenance
beyond a routine calibration check
User-friendly
Precise flow measurements are critical to
optimizing electrical submersible pumping
(ESP) system operation. The ability to measure
flow accurately and consistently is required for
well diagnostics, ESP diagnostics, production
allocation, sizing facilities requirements, and
government reporting. However, standard
flow monitoring techniques are expensive and
often are available only at periodic intervals.
Neuraflow™ virtual flow meter, new
monitoring technology from Baker Hughes,
changes that paradigm. This flow monitoring
sensor combines downhole sensor technology
with neural network capabilities and
gives real-time, accurate flow parameters.
Measurements are taken such as intake
pressure, discharge pressure, and pump
frequency from sensors already installed
in most ESP completions. When properly
calibrated and maintained, the Neuraflow
virtual flow meter delivers flow rate estimates
with a greater than 90% accuracy rate when
compared to actual flow rate measurements.
Neuraflow virtual flow meter is made possible
by combining two technologies:
Neural
networks designed to model large
numbers of scenarios and learn how a
well behaves
Industry
leading modeling capabilities
which can accurately model the entire
pumping system
Using Centrilift AutographPC™ software, the
industry standard for ESP sizing, as the main
mathematical engine, Neuraflow produces
real-time flow measurements as accurately as
the most expensive virtual flow meters at a
fraction of the cost.
calibration
– Calibrates easily by updating
well model and uploading to the
Neuraflow flow meter
Centinel™
/ WellLIFT™ compatible
– Requires no additional sensing
technology to measure flow
– Uses parameters measured from
existing Centinel or WellLIFT
comms-on downhole gauge
Zero
net footprint
– Installs into VSD and requires no
additional space
Measures
flow at three points of
interest in an ESP completion
– Variances in flow rates can be
used to troubleshoot the ESP
– Provides greater buffer to model
inaccuracies
