„ The sample company, Bellwether Garden Supply, is
shown in Chapters 1-7. In Chapters 1-7, you learn
about the basic features of Peachtree. Completing
these chapters will help you become familiar with the
software.
„ The Peachtree CD packaged with the book includes
the sample company data.
„ Computer accounting skills are reviewed in more
depth beginning in Chapter 8.

Peachtree Tips

Windows 98 and Peachtree Accounting for Windows 7.0.
You need one blank formatted disk to backup Chapter 1
and Chapter 2 data. (See p. 2)
To make a master file of starting data for Bellwether
Garden Supply, back it up before making any changes.
(See p. 16).
Or, you can install Bellwether from the Peachtree 7.0 CD.

When you back up the company file to drive
A, the information is compressed or made
smaller.
Peachtree’s Back Up feature works with their
Restore feature, which is shown on pages 2123.
