The FSA eligible items listed below do not require a doctor’s
prescription for reimbursement. You can use your NCFlex
Convenience Card at the point of service to purchase these
expenses. You can also pay out-of-pocket for the expense and
submit for reimbursement. If you have a question about a

NCFlex OTC Eligibility List
The items listed below must be submitted with a doctor’s
prescription in order to be eligible for reimbursement
under the FSA. You can use your NCFlex Convenience Card
only if the item is purchased with a prescription through a
pharmacy. If you are unable to use the NCFlex Convenience
Card at a pharmacy, you may submit a claim (along with a
copy of the prescription) for reimbursement.
