Frequently Asked Questions The cooperative 2+2 program formed by Midlands Technical College (MTC) and The Citadel permits students to complete their associate degree at MTC and then take courses in the major at The Citadel, culminating in a bachelor’s degree from The Citadel. How do I know what to sign up for while I’m at MTC? Getting Started Which college is on my diploma, MTC or The Citadel? The following steps will get you on your way to earning your associate degree from MTC and bachelor’s degree from The Citadel: • Submit MTC’s online application along with the nonrefundable application fee. • Send a copy of your high school transcript, diploma or GED to MTC. If you want to transfer credits from other colleges, submit official transcripts. You will work closely with your academic advisor during your time at MTC to plan your schedule so that it fits your needs and meets the requirements at The Citadel. After completing the entire 2+2 curriculum, you will receive two diplomas: one from MTC showing your Associates Degree in Applied Science and one from The Citadel showing your Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. When and where are classes at MTC held? • Submit qualifying ACT, SAT, and/or previous college coursework. Students without college-level math and English with a grade of a “C” or better, must take the MTC placement test. All courses in BUS programs are offered two days per week (M/W or T/TH) and can be taken on the Airport Campus, Beltline Campus, or online. • Meet with an Associate in Arts Advisor to plan your course of study at MTC. • A 2+2 program brought to you by: Complete specified courses at MTC with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. • The Citadel and Midlands Technical College Complete and return an undergraduate application to The Citadel Graduate College (CGC) located in Bond Hall, Room 101. Most of the classes at The Citadel are held one night per week in a civilian environment. Some classes are also available online.
