construction and is now open Monday
through Friday from 6am to 8pm

Paxton Community & Wellness Center

equipment, dumbbell free weights,
a multi-purpose weight machine,
personal training and so much more.

Hospital & Health Services will
welcome, for the first time, its
very own full-time Cardiologist,
Lalchand Goyal, M.D., FSCAI, FACC.
Dr. Goyal comes to GAHHS from
Bradford, Pennsylvania to be closer
to his grandchildren and will hold
office hours two days a week at the
GAH Orthopaedic Clinic in Gibson
City and two days at the Paxton
Specialty Clinic. Like our Facebook

information on Dr. Goyal as it is
released.
Every other Friday GAHHS
In November of 2013, Paxton
employees are given the option to
wear jeans for a $5 donation. One of
those days was set aside to benefit
the Gifford Tornado Relief Fund. The
employees raised $570, which was

MDA Show of Strength Telethon.

diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma,
a cancer that affects three per one
million people under 20 years old.
Caitlynn has a long journey ahead
of her, so when the Play for Caitlynn
fundraiser was scheduled during the
PBL/GCMS girls basketball game,
GAH was honored to donate $1500
to Caitlynn and her family. Follow

The 2013 Love Lights a Tree
campaign was another wonderful
success. From November 1st to
December 31st the Gibson Area
Hospital Auxiliary raised over
$11,000. The Auxiliary voted to use
these funds to purchase another
chemo treatment chair, two recliners
for PACU and other items which
continue the Auxiliary tradition to
provide the patients and visitors
of GAH the very best experience
possible.
The Geriatric Behavioral
Wellness Center has started a brand
new support group for caregivers.
The Caregiver Support Group meets
the first Wednesday of each month
from 6:30p to 7:30pm.

Gibson Area Hospital Auxiliary
Anyone can join the GAH Auxiliary for $10 per year.
There is no cost for Junior Auxiliary memberships. These dues support two health scholarships given yearly by the auxiliary.
Through the GAH Auxiliary volunteer efforts, we are able to improve the quality
of care people receive at Gibson Area Hospital. There are numerous opportunities
for volunteering and we need you to continue this tradition of excellence.
