Administrative Assistant III (full-time, 35 hours/week) School of Business and Economics Position 101624 Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist the development staff to implement fund development activities of the institution. The assistant will provide administrative support to work in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Development to ensure key initiatives and objectives are met. Essential Responsibilities Include: The Assistant will perform a variety of complex and confidential administrative support duties. They will provide logistics and planning for major meetings with board members and other donors. Coordinate and oversee donor stewardship touch points to include donor events, correspondence and responding to donor information request. Compose and proofread donor correspondence including gift acknowledgements, gift reporting and gift proposal request. Prepare background material needed for the Assistant Dean for Development to prepare presentations, reports or responses to inquiries. Serve as administrative support liaison with other departments regarding issues related to procurement, human resources, facilities and operations. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree is requires with three (3) years or more of directly related office experience. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks effectively, excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Preferred Qualifications: Higher education teaching experience highly desired. Two years of technical writing or other complex and diplomatically sensitive writing desirable.
