SOOTHING GREEN VIEWS!
4141 N. HENDERSON #214
THE UNIT
THIS JR. ONE-BEDROOM UNIT has a fantastic
outlook across the Hyde Park’s private park with
gazebo, walkways, and grills… green trees and
grass… quiet… like living in the country, yet just a
½ mile to Ballston Metro! Sit on the balcony and
listen to the birds sing!
The unit features a renovated kitchen with
pass-through, white cabinets, GE appliances / Bosch
dishwasher, new quality carpet, and fresh paint.
Move-in condition!
And, great location re: the laundry room… just
steps away, across the hall.
THE BUILDING
Designed by noted Washington architect Vlastimil
Koubek, the Hyde Park is known for quality
construction and quiet apartments.
It’s a full-service building with quality management,
staffed lobby desk [and package reception], pool,
party room, landscaped plaza with benches and
grills, hair salon, garage parking—and it’s just a 10minute walk to Ballston Metro! [Residents may have
up to three cars in the garage with a $120 annual fee
for the first car, a $300 additional annual fee for the
second car, and a $600 additional annual fee for the
third car, and Hyde Park sticker.]
The Lobby: The Hyde Park lobby is undergoing a
massive renovation [see picture on page 3, left], and
when it re-opens it will feature a clean, striking
modern look, with a new front desk and new
large mailboxes.
THE AREA
The vibrant neighborhood features many
restaurants and nightspots plus Gold’s Gym.
Ballston Center. Many changes are coming to
Ballston Common Mall, to be re-branded as
“Ballston Center,” which will include pulling off
part of the roof and opening up spaces to make
them more accessible and pedestrian-friendly. A
new “hipper” tenant mix will be sought – the only
definitely remaining tenants will be Macy’s, Regal
Cinemas, and Sports and Health.
A Harris Teeter food store/pharmacy is
conveniently located next door to the Hyde Park,
and the Westin Hotel, with its acclaimed
Pinzimini restaurant, is close by, as are a Post
Office, 24-hour CVS Pharmacy, shoe repair
shops, drycleaners, Arlington’s Central Library,
VA ABC Store, and two Sun Trust Banks. Across
the street is the Kettler Capitals Iceplex—home of
the Capitals.
But it’s the restaurants that really stand out… a
broad range of casual to elegant fare and different
cuisines is available within several blocks: Mike
Isabella’s Kapnos Taverna, Rustico, Robert
Weidmaier’s Mussel Bar, Republic Kitchen and
Bar, World of Beer, Booeymonger, P.F. Chang’s,
Chipotle, Cosí, Crystal Thai, Outback,
International House of Pancakes, Starbucks, Rio
Grande, Tutto Bene, Vapiano, and Willow,
and more.
Hop on Metro for a quick ride Downtown, or
drive into the District on Rt. 50 or I-66… it’s
about 15 minutes to the White House. It’s also an
easy drive to National Airport [about 15
minutes], Old Town Alexandria, Tysons Corner,
and McLean.
Walkscore.com awards Arlington with the
highest scores in the state for walkability,
transit and biking: 67 for walkability, 56
for transit, 70 for biking.
SPECIAL NOTE
Arlington typically has the lowest property taxes
of the major jurisdictions in the Metropolitan
Area and much parkland. Joggers, runners and
walkers may access the nearby Lubber Run Trail at
George Mason Drive. Nearby, also, is the W&OD
And you’re just a few minutes away from Trail, which goes east to Alexandria, and west to
Clarendon with Whole Foods Market, Trader Purcellville [almost to the Blue Ridge].
Joe’s, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Barnes
& Noble, Chico’s, Apple… restaurants, END NOTE
nightspots… and more! Plus, it’s a quick hop to
the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City with
Location / Green / Metro / Value.
Nordstrom and other great shopping—and
Welcome Home!
Costco across the street.
Across Glebe Road from the Hyde Park is a stand
of Capital Bikeshare Red Bikes… go anywhere!
Arlington is a “Gold-Level Walk Friendly
Community,” which makes it great for biking,
too—and there are many designated bike lanes on
Arlington streets.
