ROMAN HISTORY PROJECT DIES: 4/28/08 AD: LATINOS I DISCIPULOS AB: DOMINA PARVA RE: HISTORIA ROMANA During the coming months Latin I students will be working on projects dealing with Roman history. The project will cover the period of the monarchy and republic from 753 to 27 B.C. The project will count as one daily grade (for timeline rough draft) and one test grade (for the timeline and bibliography). We will do some research in class, but you will need to do the majority of the research on your own. You will need to take notes on each of the people and events on your list. You will need at least four sources, three of which will be books or electronic resources other than encyclopedias. You may not use solely electronic sources. You must use at least one book. For each person or event you should determine WHO or WHAT, WHEN, and WHY SIGNIFICANT. This information will all need to be transferred to your timeline. You will transfer the information from your notes to your rough draft in chronological order. Then, a timeline will be produced on poster boards or shelf paper, depending on your plan to display horizontally or vertically. Your timeline will be graded on accuracy, legibility, artwork, attractiveness, and knowledge acquired. Your bibliography will be graded on correct form and proper source selection.
