Sociology Study Guide
Important points to note:
• All Sociology cores must be completed in NTU.
• Five of the 12 SOC-PEs must be 300-level or
higher (the rest is up to you).
• Students must complete all the cores and at least
8 SOC-PEs for a grade by the end of Year Three in
order to begin the Graduation Project (HS499).
• It is recommended that students do not take more
than 3 other courses during the first semester of
HS499.
• Students with a CGPA of less than 3.75 when
entering their final year, have the option of doing
TWO 400-level courses instead of HS499.
A few more points to note:
• Check your Degree Audit regularly (every
semester after your exam results are released).
• Exercise the Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U)
option for UEs carefully.
• If you are in doubt, please check with us.
