Slave Rebellions
You and some partners will be assigned one of the following revolts and will need to
present your findings about the revolt. You will also need to write a one paragraph essay
about the revolt which focuses on the outcome of the revolt and how it changed society.

3. Cato's Conspiracy/Stono Rebellion 1739
4. New York Conspiracy: March/April 1741
5. Gabriel Prosser's Rebellion 1800
6. Slave Rebellion in St. John the Baptist Parish: Jan. 8-10, 1811
7. Denmark Vesey's Uprising 1822
8. Nat Turner's Revolt: August 1831
