• Undocumented but very helpful command:
“Go Back” takes you back to your last location after you do a go to, select, or insert
command.
• Resources tight? Check out the Performance Assistance in the Help Menu
• The On-Line Help System lets users keep a list of “favorites.” (Navigate to the info
you want, click on the Favorites TAB, and then click on the ADD button.)
WHAT’S NEW IN TRAINING RESOURCES?
• VoicePower (http://www.voiceteach.com/) is a voice-driven tutorial, help system,
hundreds of macros and a means to easily open and position files, as well as other

NEWER PRODUCT: SPEAKQ
• Combines speech recognition from MS Word into WordQ word prediction software
• Can be good for people with writing difficulties and who can’t manage DNS—not
designed as a primary speech recognition input tool
• Get what you want in the prediction box (using voice or keyboard) before the text is
placed in your document
• Has worked well with people with low frustration tolerance. Also for some people with
dysarthic speech or heavy accents.
• Training provides auditor prompts
• WordQ has text-to-speech

TIP FROM KARL BARKSDALE:
When making major edits, it is often much easier to simply restate an entire sentence
rather than trying to edit individual words within a sentence.
Say: “Resume with simply restate”
And say: “the idea or entire sentence instead of selecting and editing each word that
you want to change.”
Then say “new paragraph” to separate the old wording from the new.
Then say “delete paragraph” to get rid of the old wording.
(Ray adds: You can also say, “Insert after restate” and then continue)
