Note A: Each student is required to have the textbooks for the course. The first required textbook is ‘Business
Communication: Polishing Your Professional Presence Plus My BCommLab’, second edition by Shwom and Synder.
The publisher is Pearson. The ISBN is 978-0-1330-98808. You are not permitted to use the first edition. You are required
to have the BCommLab Access code that is packaged with the textbook if purchased new at Mountain View College
Bookstore. The failure to not have the access code will result in an automatic ‘F’ in the course. The second required
textbook is ‘Skills for Accounting and Auditing Research: FASB Codification and eIFRS’, by Collins. The publisher
is Cambridge Publishers. The ISBN is 978-1-61853-074-5. The textbooks may come in an electronic format known as an ebook. I do not support the utilization of the e-book.
Note B: The proctored comprehensive final exam is required. The exam will be administered on August 7, 2014 from 6:00
PM to 9:00 PM. I will inform the class the room location. The proctored comprehensive final exam can only be taken at
Mountain View College. A student will not be approved to take the exam at any other location. The exam is closed textbook
and notes are not permitted.

BMGT 1391 Money and Capital Markets – Summer II Semester 2014 Course

BMGT 1391 is an upper division business related course as defined by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). Money and
Capital Markets falls under the Finance discipline. A student will not receive qualifying credit by the TSBPA if the student has
received academic credit for any prior course such as Financial Markets and Institutions.
Prerequisite: ACNT 1372 (Foundations of Accounting Operations and Disclosure) or an upper division accounting course
or another finance course. Do not request the course if you have not satisfied the required academic credit.
BMGT 1391 is restricted to students who possess a Bachelors degree or higher. The student is required to be enrolled in
ATC.ACCT.10 or ATC.ACCT.13 Certificate Plan.
You must send a request to enroll in the course to Mr. Julius Wilson at wilsonj@dcccd.edu. You must state your full legal
name and DCCCD student identification number, not your social security number. Always include your full legal name and
DCCCD student identification number in all emails including any replies.
