You will get a screen that looks like the one below (almost all practice activities will look the same). Notice that the frog says “hello” to you and recognizes who you are. o For this type of vocabulary activity, notice the buttons/information in the light purple box: o Time = 5 minutes (but you can do more if you like); a start and stop button to begin and end an activity; a question box (where the vocabulary word in English will appear); an answer box (where you will type the equivalent vocabulary word in French (just the word (no “le, la, les”)); an “Add Accent” button to put accents on letters; a “Check” button (you can also just use the “enter” key on the keyboard after each answer. To start the activity, click start (notice the timer will begin counting down). A vocabulary word will appear in the “question” box and you will type in the word in French in the “answer” box and then either hit the enter key on the keyboard or click on the How to use www.conjuguemos.com “Check” button. If you are correct, you will go on to the next word. If you are incorrect, the computer will display the correct answer and you will have to retype your corrected answer in the “answer” box. o To add an accent, first type the letter, then click the “Add accent” button until the correct accent appears over the letter. o Notice that the computer keeps track of the number of correct answers and the percentage score where it says “Your score is”. o When you have completed 5 minutes (and you have gotten at least 30 words correct), click on “Record/send results” in the lower right-hand corner. o Instead of practicing vocabulary, you can also use this type of assignment to practice verb conjugation (which is where the name CONJUGUEMOS comes from – meaning “let’s conjugate!” in Spanish). Click on the 2nd practice activity. You will get a screen that looks like this. o This screen is much like the vocabulary practice except instead of getting a word in English to put in French, you will get a pronoun (je, tu, etc…) in the “Pronoun” box and a verb (aimer, détester) in the “Verb” box and you will have to put the conjugated form of the verb in the “Answer” box (no subject – just the verb). Hit the enter key on the keyboard or click on “Check” button. o Make sure to do 5 minutes and get at least 30 verbs correct! o After you have “sent” your results, you will get a screen like this confirming your score – this is the information that I will also get to record in the gradebook.
